as long as no damage was done to the bearing i wouldn't be worried, but when using the press (this is more for other people as it sounds like you already know this) only press on the OUTER most ring, never from the small inner ring...
on a side note, how hard did you have to press? it really shouldn't be hard at all, getting the china ones out for the first time is normally hard but on our bikes the new bearings all but drop in...
yet another side note i just cant keep quiet about, I am about to rebuild my main motor, which bearings for the crank you might ask, while going through an OLD tool box i found two Delco Z99593 old (80's) bearings, they have a rubber seal and still have tons of good looking grease under the seal, so out comes the seal, a little bath for the bearings and now i have a part ACDelco C1....
oh well maybe it's just me, but it had me laughing for a little while.. We'll see how it works.

How about this one for now,I replaced his crank bearings with 6203 P5 ones.I froze the bearings/warmed the cases and used a press on the exterior of the bearing to drive it in.Is this the right way?(I`m using my experience on other engines on these little ones) |
