Just my 2 cents, for a brand new replica engine, you are looking at about $300. Add a little on $300, you are able to pick up a decent used euro engine. It is like day and night if you compare the two. I already pm you the place that you can get the replica from...but I really suggest you to take my advice. no matter how hard you mod the chinese engine, it will never have the euro performance.

Re: Where to buy a replica W/C engine

Could you send the link again? My inbox was full. I understand that I could get a what better engine for more money but I don't have much money now and need an engine quick. I would want to mount it a a 2 speed gas scooter so it is ok if it wont be the fastest engine. It will still be the fastest scooter.

Thanks for the links! By any chance would you know what size the clutch is?

what do you mean by that? If you are planning to run a polini, BZM or zocchi clutch, you have to swap the stock clutch bell to a polini 80mm clutch bell, otherwise it will cause your clutch to burn.

I mean is it 78mm or what? I understand that you have to swap the clutch bell to a 80mm so what size is the stock clutch bell? Thanks.

Re: Where to buy a replica W/C engine

I have a polini rep motor and I never even got it broke-in before I swapped it out with a polini motor. Make me a offer? It already has a 80mm clutch drum but will need new clutch shoes. As the BZM pads delaminated which sometimes happens the first time you learn how to get it adjusted right. The squish is set and has black widow reeds in it. I will even include the water pump to make up for the bad clutch.

The clutch is 78mm and the drum is 80mm. So your looking for a 76mm clutch and the 78mm drum ok......

I don't think that would fit the polini rep motor. Why does it have to have the drum and housing?

No, just the needs the clutch and the one half of the clutch housing so that is will bolt up to the motor mount and clutch bell.

This is what I need to mount it on
