Try to throw your body off the bike when cornering..don't just sit on the seat and lean with the bike..Do that, you should be able to put your knee down.

I tried to throw my body off the bikes a few times, but it's a little scary, especially when you don't have the right outfit on. Those knee pads are meant for hockey, and they don't cover the knee too well. But I will try next weekend to throw my body off the bike and see what happens

Yeah if you take your time get your comfort level up with the bike. You'll be draggin knees all day long.I believe being comfortable with the machine your riding is a major hurdle to get over.

Those knee pads are more than enough for putting your knee down. Actually, in terms of traction....throw off your body to the side, putting your knee down and less lean angle on the bike will gain your more traction. Leaning with the bike with your body stationary on the seat will have a bigger change of lowside due to less surface area of the tire making contact to the ground.

Thanks Stone!

I know the knee pads are good enough to drag the knee, but the problem is that after riding for a few seconds, they slide down. Once I start leaning, most of my knee tends to stick out and it's not a good feeling knowing that if I go down, it's gonna hurt! I'm trying to see if there's any way that I could prevent them from sliding down.

I'm going again on Sunday and see what happens, I wish I could find a better lot to ride since this one, even though it's huge, the road surface is uneven and full of small bumps and holes, and that's the last thing you want to hit when you're turning with half your body off the bike and the knee is dragging. But the good thing is that I found my own line around the lot and turned it into a good track.

If you get some hockey sock tape from any hockey supply or ice rink with a store. and tape your shin guards into place. I do it all the time myself and it works really well.

Were you just riding in a random parking lot? Nothin special or anything? Just an empty lot. Cuz ive gotten busted 3 times byy the cops and almost had my bike impounded for riding various places, but never a parking lot. Is it legal there?

GO FASTER!!! Sounds simple I know, but it is, just don't use the brake that much, it'll only slow you down. If your scared of falling off (which is an ART-FORM) should you be out there? Whats the worst that can happen?
