Our #1 rule!
STREET RIDING TALK IS NOT ALLOWED ON POCKETBIKE PLANET! IT HAS NEVER BEEN ALLOWED SINCE WE OPENED THIS WEBSITE AND NEVER WILL BE ALLOWED.
If you post any topics about riding your pocketbike / midbike on the street your access to Pocketbike Planet will be removed for a period of 7 days. NO WARNINGS!
You agree, through your use of Pocketbike Planet, that you will not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
The owners and staff members of PocketbikePlanet.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close anything at any time for any reason.
1. No Dealer advertising unless you're a PBP sponsor. Advertising on PocketbikePlanet.com will only be permitted by officially recognized site sponsors and advertisers. Advertising includes, but is not limited to, direct and indirect solicitation of business in posts, business contact information, use of corporate logos, or use of any language or image that can be construed as an advertisement.
Posting is defined by posts in forums, avatars, signature files, private messages and e-mails sent from PocketbikePlanet.com. Posting links to or the domain names of companies that are in direct competition with any of the PBP sponsors is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
What to do if someone contacts you with a business question.
If you are not a PBP advertiser and someone asks you a business related question via PM or the PBP email system please direct them to your personal email address for further discussion. That way you can still do business with the person but you will not be using PBP resources to do so.
2. No flaming or bashing PBP members or any manufacurers bikes.
3. You must respect the privacy of other members and individuals. Do not post personal information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, or any other information considered private) without the express permission of the individual. The posting of private communications (including, but not limited to e-mail, private messages, letters, faxes, AIM, ICQ, etc.) without the consent of all parties to said communication is strictly prohibited.
4. Pocketbike / Midbike street-riding laws aren't acceptable for discussion. After countless threads, it seems to have become a means to rationalize riding in the streets by catagorizing
Pocketbikes / Midbikes as scooters and using laws to your advantage that were made before
Pocketbikes / Midbikes existed and/or became mainstream. These laws, regardless of their content, simply do not apply to Pocketbike or Midbikes.
What is clearly evident is the fact that
Pocketbikes / Midbikes are not intended to be used as transportation or operated on roads, highways, streets, residential areas, etc. Any discussion that promotes irresponsible operation of your machine will result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted.
5. Refrain from ANY profanity. Do not bypass the word filter, this is strictly prohibited.
6. Please refrain from bringing old threads back to the top by using words like "bump." Do not bump old threads up unless you are contributing a legitimate post to the thread.
7. No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.
8. No Pornography, obscene material, or sexually related material.
9. Absolutely no racist or prejudice remarks will be tolerated regardless of the context they are used in. Racism is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate banishment. Indirect racism will be treated the same was as a flat out racial slur.
10. DON'T DOUBLE POST on separate forums
11. POST in the correct forum pertaining to your topic
12. Absolutely No "Where can I find the cheapest _______" type post
13. NO Bashing of ANY Pocketbike dealers, distributors or manufacturers. If you are having trouble with the dealer... take it up with the DEALER THEMSELVES and do not make it a public issue. A lot of the times, problems are due to miscommunication or technicality problems.
14. Any material posted on PocketbikePlanet.com is the property of PocketbikePlanet and can not be posted anywhere else without the consent of the original poster or PocketPlanet.
15. Remove all website links from your signature. Basically, no unapproved links are allowed. Personal, non-advertising websites, are okay. Signatures must be no longer than 25 characters.
16. Posting information that is knowingly false and/or deceitful is strictly prohibited.
17. We reserve the right to remove any post at any time for any reason.
18. If you are banned from PocketbikePlanet, be it temporary or permanent, you are not permitted to create another account for as long as the original ban is in effect.
19. NO public bashing of ANY staff members. If you have a problem with a staff member
send a private message to pocketbikedave (The new owner of PBP).
Any messages will be removed at the discretion of the PBP staff. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of PocketbikePlanet.com. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. Although PocketbikePlanet.com does not and cannot review each and every message that is posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever.
WARNING: When you post on PBP, the information in your posts are immediately made available to the general public, even those people who are not members of PBP, anyone browsing the Internet can read what is stated in posts you make. Because of this, you need to make every effort to not post sensitive and personal information of yourself or others such as e-mail addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, etc. When you post this information, you do so at your own risk. It is very common for someone to ask someone else for their e-mail address in the
classifieds forum or somewhere else on PBP, rather than replying with your e-mail address, send a Private Message to that person containing your e-mail address, this is the safest way to go about it.
It has come to PBP Staff Member's attention that we must reiterate a rule. We believe it's a very fair way of handling this issue.
If you haven't noticed, PBP's only income is from banner and button advertising. We must now consider the fact of prioritizing the companies that provide us our income to our site. And since PBP has grown massively over the months, Hosting fees and other liabilities have risen greatly. In one of our rules we clearly state:
1. No Dealer advertising unless you're a PBP sponsor.
It has come to our attention that this rule MUST apply to ALSO avatars and signatures. We kindly ask to everyone with advertisements on their signatures to please remove the advertising content. We MUST give these companies that provide income to PBP their fair share of advertising as this is what keeps PocketbikePlanet.com up and running.
Thank you for your time.
