Cag engines is well known for their vibrations and lack of performance. Today, my neighbour use his chainsaw and I must say what a reving it has! It was an Partner 49cc and I had a close look at the saw, and must say those engines performs good. No vibs and plenty of reving potential and seemed to look alike the Cag engine.

Now, I had an idea of put a similar engine in my Cag but before I begin I must ask you guys if anyone allready had tryed this out? Oh, I forgot. They are availble in 71cc as well.

Ok, I siad this to my motor "you can do it, you're great, you're the best" is that enough support? I wasn't sure how i should use the rubber washers? so i got some big ones and squeezed them them all the way up my fingers, that works great, i can't feel any vibrations, matter of fact i can't feel anything, why are the ends of my fingers purple?

you can really reduce vibes by supporting your motor and using lots of rubber washers

A chainsaw engine will also vibrate if it's mounted poorly like the cags are.
A few things you have to consider before you destroy a good chainsaw:
Chainsaws run a different pitch chain and they usually have it on the opposite side to a cag, you will need a custom sprocket and you may have to mount your rear brake and disk on the other side of your frame, that requires welding the frame.
The pull starter, may not be accessable when the engine is mounted, you may have to mcgyver up some pully setup to start it? The chainsaws exhaust may burn your leg, you may have to put an elbow on it or make a new pipe, then there's the chainsaws chain lube and engine autolube system, you may need to take all that off to fit the engine in the frame, but most of them are cast onto the crankcase, that may mean you may have to chop the chainsaw engine up to make it fit. I'm not saying it can't be done, just there would be a lot of work, hate to see it end up in the unfinished projects box. Wouldn't it be easier to fix the cag engine mount so it vibrates less and just do a few performance mods on it?
