hey everyone, i need a REAL answer for this question: i have a 49cc cateye, and i want to know the best mix ratio after the break-in period. i've heard 25:1, 32:1, 50:1......i've been doing 32:1. but i wanna know if theres a better mix that anyone would reccommend. i need one final answer, i've tried em all and it runs the same regardless of the mix. so please help.
Your just fine running 32:1 and that's what most run in their's. Myself I run 40:1. Now with that said with each mix you would also need to retune the carb. Cause your getting more or less fuel depending on the mix.
thats what i thought. a buddy of mine whom i sold this bike to (and i just bought it back) put 50:1 in, and i re-did it with 32:1 and had to re tune the carb cuz it wouldnt go past 10 mph and it sounded like it was in WOT before i was even at WOT. i like 32:1, the oil i bought has a squeeze thing with a seperate measuring part at the top that you can squeeze to the exact mixture for 32:1.
I just have a quick question, how come when you buy a Chinese Cag or whatever off Ebay they tell you to mix a 25:1 ratio? What ratio should i be mixing?
That's what is used to break-in the motor. I think they just play on the safe side. But if you stay running that 25:1 mix what you will end up seeing is alot of oil leaking out from the tip of the pipe and alot of smoke both are signs of using to much oil and it will foul alot of plugs too.
