What would be the best clutch combo an a cag motor , I have a stock clutch at the moment , i ordered hkmotos heavy springs they enedc up being stock. I either need to find real upgraded springs or an entirely different set up . I also ordered a setup from DDM but it is not tapered and has no keyway . Will hkmotos water cooled 10mm center 76 mm clutch for the c1 , c2 Mta4 blata rep clutch work ? Or where can i get real haevey springs from ?

hello im new to this forum and new to pocket bikes. I just recently purchased one. it was used. The bike is a MT-A4 water cooled 39cc. When I start it up it starts ok but then it stalls out after running for 30 seconds. The biggest problem is that when it does start running it stalls out when I go to give it gas. As soon as I hit the throtle to give it gas it just dies. Can someone help me! thanks!

I have had sooo many problems with my pocket bike engine. Ever since i got that thing i have had problems after problems. I have spent hundreds of hours trying to keep that thing running. Sometimes it would run perfect, other days it would just not run.
Recently i bought a new carb for it , to fix all these problems. It was a performance carb off of ebay. I installed it , never could get the thing running.
Today i tried again , cannot get the thing to run. I kept using starter fluid to get it started. I also kept adjusting the two screws. Still nothing , only runs for 2 seconds off the starter fluid. I have clear gas line , most of the time the gas is not going into the carb. I dont know why. Its a carb with the flap instead of the stock slides.

I have an s4 cobra with a ported stock carb , 6/78 gearing , slightly ported exhaust , ground out restriction in pipe (welds) and some other minor mods. I'm looking to do some more mods this week and I'm looking at head and big bore kits. This thing is heavy compared to a cag and so I need more off the line compared to top speed ( it's unstable anyway ) . DDm has the 40mm ADA head kit on sale . What do you guys think of this kit ? should I wait to find the 44mm kit for the added torque of the larger bore ? I'd like to do a full circle crank also to eliminate some of the vibration . What MM is the stocker 10mm or 12mm ? If not these kits what would you recomend and what compression can I get away with on pump gas ? I'm used to performance cars and bikes (Hayabusa and Mustang both low 10 high 9 sec performance ) and am new to these little motors but understand the basics. I bought it for a pit vehicle but it's fun and addicting as anything with a motor tends to be. I look forward to hearing your opinions . Thanks in advance
BTW it's fun in the snow !!! We got several inches today .

Okay, after making a few post i decided to make a journal posting everyting about my X-15/R-32. Upgrades, Questions, Tips, and comments are all welcome.
After buying a used X-15 for $100 from a kid who did not take very good care of it, the 15 desperately needed some work.
I have resolved the Smoke comming from the exaust manifold. I belive some oil was leaked into the chamber from sitting out for a while, after kicking the bike and letting it run for awhile, the smoking stopped.
The Front right Fork was bent, so i ordered a new pair for an X-19 (it should be the same) for $40, from HoleShotzPerformance.com so they should be in within a week.

well yesturday i orderd (2) 12v 7ah batts.......so today i made a batterey mount so i would be ready for them!.... i really like how it turn out for no welding at all:D its really strong too. i will be going 36v using the 2 new ones and one of my older ones....... i still need a mx650 control wich i hope to buy soon

hey im about to buy an mx650, and i was wondering what my best bet would be to go faster. Should i just change the sprocket size, get a different motor, or change it to 48V? What would the best option be for the best price. Im plannin to take it out on dirt jumps.

Well I figured i'd start a thread of my own about a project i've talked about before in other threads. I'm going to convert a mid bike from gas to electric, which im intending on drag racing and taking the 48 volt record of 9.5 sec. at 60-70 mph if i remember correctly. Currently i am in the testing phases of finding the optimum battery. I'm not looking into any lead acid battery, mostly nicad at this point.
I've come across some 1/2 D size nicad batteries from a local surplus store that I'm testing at high amp loads, 100 amps plus. The plan is to make 40 cell packs in series, and then parallel 6-10 of these packs in parallel. I'm thinking 48 volts 600+ amps as a starting point, about 30 kw, or around 30 hp.
I assembled a 6 cell pack, 7.2 volts, all batts read about .07 volts, so they must of been sitting for a while, but are brand new so thats a plus. After 5 cycles they came back to full capacity and are working great. I assembled a test for them, using 5 feet of 12 gauge insulated copper wire. I tested one cell so far and measured the voltage drop when shorting the cell with the 5 feet length of wire, im only guessing this is about 100 amps from the chart i looked at and what others have told me. The results were good however, 1.3 resting voltage, with the cell shorted the voltage dropped to .85 and .8 after 3 seconds.
So as a rough estimate thats 80 watts per battery cell, 30 kw will be about 375 cells. I'll post more updates as they come about. :D
