x18 Marlboro Ducati build

So this is the bike I started off with, it was a good price and the motor was OK. (green X18)

I used an X7 tail from my old bike, and custom fit it to the stock one on the x18. I also used the side faring where your leg rest and fiberglassed everything together into one. It took a while and alot of bondo work.

At this time there was no pipe.. I had just painted the rims black, bondo'd and primed the tank and new custom tail. There are also no elecs. I had to wait for all the parts.

Custom intake I installed, a little bit bigger then the PBU one. barely any clearance for one any larger.

I finally got the side farings on, and put on the custom pipe i'm currently waiting to wrap.

Re: x18 Marlboro Ducati build

Got the front end on, Side marker delete and painted the inside of the headlight black.

Sorry for the gap, but I just sprayed it red and euroed my front red light.

installed the GPS not final but its OK for now.

custom shifter modded the stock. It fell apart on me on a ride so I welded it backwards.

Hey man very cool bike, I do like the paint job. I had to delete your video out, as our rules prohibit any talk/showing of street riding.

Re: x18 Marlboro Ducati build

Hey, Thank you everyone for your responses. Ironicly yesterday I was racing with my friend and I 'Low Sided" my bike, due to someone pulling out the trailer from the water and getting the track wet. He obviously didn't know the importance of a clean track. Anyways I fitted an X7 front end on, and did a little bit of touch up work...

Still waiting on kick stand, stickers, and front piece lol. I have grips is there a DIY to install and uninstall on this forum I don't feel like messing it up.

Re: x18 Marlboro Ducati build

lowside, couple of motorcycle tips: dont ride in the wet, these stock tires are not good in the wet, and i dont like doing it and i have good tires, also these bikes will rust up just from the water mist
dont ride on the painted lines, arrows, or words, they are very slick and will cause you to lose it, ive seen it happen live, it was funny but still
even with full armor youd get hurt at high speed

Re: x18 Marlboro Ducati build

I broke the bottom off my X18, riding it up a 2 x 8 up 15ft at a steep angle to get it up on the deck. I hit it running and when I got half way up the rear wheel started spinning and I put more gas and the front wheel started up , and when I came the the top I let off & the bottom of the body hit the Step and Crack. Now is a half fairing bike.
