non starter

Re: non starter

If both your bikes are doing the same thing id have to see if there is water in your fuel. This time of year when you have warm days but still have cool nights can cause condensation to form in your tanks or can. After trying to start and pulling the plug do you notice beads of water on your plug? Or after cleaning and replacing the plug does it fire over than stop firing over and just spin

straydawg63, my fuel is clean and mini moto stays in house room (under the stairs) the two that wont run iv only just bought and they aint been used for 12 month the thing thats throwing me is how hard it is on compresion to pull thanks for your input so far

bullwinkle0689, when i had the carb off i was turning the engine over and could see the piston through the port and it looked ok or can you not tell by that? is it a strip down and a proper check? is it possible that its the piston rings gummed up and not letting air through?? thanks in advance

Re: non starter

another thing that stopped mine from firing was wires too close to the HT lead, the spark was dumpin out across the gap

i dont think mine is jumping as iv tried it in a dark room to check to see if i had a spark and i cant c it jumping, and iv changed the ht lead and coil from my other running bike, but that still dosent explain what feels like super high compression going to get my fella to bring the compression tester home just to check that its not...

Re: non starter

Think he is talking about where the wire goes on to the coil, inside you can't see thru the rubber, it can burn the wire away over time then there is a gap it has to jump to go thru the wire, that sucks off the power and when it jumps the spark plug gap it's weak. These coil are Crap to begin with.
