Re: Help please.

Yes you will need a #25 chain master link. Grind the ends of the pins down to the end plate on one side and punch the pins thru and out the other side. Then get your chain run it around the gears and figure where to make the 2 cut for final length.
Don't feel bad I have had more than my share of Chain trouble.

Re: Help please.

Me too. I never fully understood why other dirtbikers told me to ride with an extra master link in my pocket, untill mine unclipped and flew off while riding. Took me half an hour, but I found the tiny *** little clip and the plate that goes behind it. Something I never want to do again.

Re: Help please.

I will tell you why about the Master link. One day on my ZX1 extreme 110cc 4 stroke China dirt bike, I dropped the clutch in 1st and the bike went nowhere, the chain was laying on the ground, and I said, What the #*^#.
Send your carb w/ the engine, its $20 to bore / taperbore and re-jet job. Sam probably uses a 360 wheel on the crank. He takes your engine puts his rework wings head kit and your carb. and runs the engine, mine hit in the 12,500 rpm range. It has a 12mm FC crank + everything else. I just did one of my own carb bores, took me 8 hours of hard work. When I finished, my brain goes, why didn't you send it to Sam, plus the first time it did not work right, had to pull it off the bike and spend another day on the same carb.
I send all my engine USPS Med. size, if it fits it ships up to 70lbs. for $10.95, and Sam ships it back to you, 2 hrs after I got mine it was in the bike and primed it and started on the 3 pull.
I have a Jet Pro on my A1 my my #2 Sams drag engine in it now, #1 is the engine above. It started on my A2 full fairing, but had to make a brass fitting spacer to raise the pipe to clear the cross frame brace. Took day to get it right. The the Pro Jet is $69 and a chrome under exhaust at PB Parts in Florida for $39, is a good all round hp pipe. One is on my Lucky 7 avatar photo turn into a side pipe. I have a straight pipe to big muffler on my A2, it was built by me, has atleast 15:1 or better, and no base gasket, and the ports have been enlarged, and it screams go the pipe at Gio in west Canada, for $18 shipped on eBay, and it screams.

Re: Help please.

Used to have a go-cart that would break the chain every other day. Use to make my own master link by grinding one side flush popping the plate off with a flathead reassembling the chain and then just put the plate back on with a hammer. worked well enough that it usually would break a regular link.

Re: Help please.

Have to count the links before you order. Some places have 60 to 160 link chains, it's happened to me more than once. I grind the pins on my bench grind and pound them out w/ a pin punch.
