Hey EPR heres something to consider when doing the throttle setup....
On some trick BMX bikes they have a rotor neck with two cables on each side that runs down to a small barrel with a connector that branches two cables down to a single cable to run to the brakes.....They sell small lead ends that solder sweat onto the cables to make custom length ones pretty easy with a plumbers torch......I melt lead sinkers in a ladle, dip the wire in flux and dip the fluxed wire into the molten lead in and out til it has enough build up then I grind/shape it on the dremel........
When I go to the scrapyard for supplies I strip as many bicycles of their brake cables/handles and doo-dads for custom projects because the right cables are hard to find as it is aswell as strip motorbikes of their throttles and cables too.......
The only problem that I can see with dual thumb throttles is grabbing them exactly at the same time plus finding one that will mount for the left thumb as easy as the right....
well i started to work on fenders for my bike, and the mx650 will get going tomorrow!!!
im working on a video that shows all the history of my bike, lol, im serious. it has had SO many different engines before!
the brake caliper will most likely either have a right hand caliper on the brake rotor, or the original caliper on the sprocket.
Nice....My Olds had 19 different engines in 25 years..lol.I got every pic too...
Brake sprockets arent uncommon either and eliminates 1 problem of mounting the rotor ...The calipers from the MTA-1 is a pretty good caliper to fab on....for hydraulic the X-22 rear caliper or Baja trailbike front caliper will work......I swapped the crappy drumbrake setup on my modded PW80 for the Baja front forks with caliper setup which isnt nothing to rave about but better than the original PW setup as far as spring load and braking.........lol
My Favorite place is the Hardware Store, for modding bikes, yesterday got 3 different galv. shelf braces to put on the top eng mount, the rear exh mount, and 2 pieces acrossed the frame, bolted on each side, I had to cut them out and still had to cut the chrome under pipe in half and put it back together again. Nothing I have fits this frame. Getting close to running, Sunday is D Day. To get the chain off you have to take the rear arm bottom bolt out to get it thru, Thats why it bolts on.

ahh oh i remember.... that sunny day in june... cut the battery brackets off with a hack saw, and took it to the hardware store to get nuts and bolts for pretty much everything (because i lost much of the parts lol!)
now look at it!!
oh, and today i spent all day building my friends bike. IT WORKS!!! IT FLYS TOO!!
i drove it and i got to 1/4 throttle then almost sh*t my pants lololol!
