Yup just take it and hook it right to the positive and negitive buss to the power meter to the speed control then be aware of your voltages on your own don't forget to keep an eye on it

How low do you think I can go? I know I have to stop at 42 volts, but if I accidentally go to 39 or 40 volts, how bad would it be?

Done! I didnt have to do anything with the negative because it wasn't connected to the bms

I rode it 6 miles today and used 3 amp hours... and it's fantastic!! My voltage is currently 50 volts.. it still stutters when I launch with the brake, but only for half a second. And when I let it sit for a while it didnt stutter at all (Still poppin wheelies 🤣 )

It holds the voltage a lot better now..

This might all be because it was almost 60F... I dont know for sure though.. I'll experiment more on Wednesday when its colder

Oh! And it's faster as well, I was going 27 for like the entire time I was riding (normally my top speed dropped down the 24 - 26 after 1 ah)

Re: MX650 mods?

i rode 3.5 ah out of it today, and it just started to stutter. I think the cold has a lot to with with it because of the voltage sag... the controller has its own low voltage cutoff and it was able to sag to 41 volts before i felt it cut off, but it normally starts taking away power at 43 volts...

i uploaded a new 0 to top speed video by the way, here it is:
I had to sit up as far front in the seat as i could so the bike wouldn't throw me off again

Sounds to me it maybe a problem with a FET if its a crystalline type controller....When these FETs blow, they take out the gate drivers and drive current limiting resistors inside the controller...

Turn the power off and if you don't have a freewheel try pushing the bike forwards and backwards on the ground and see if the motor jerks and gives a reaction when the power switch is in the OFF position...If it does you have an open circuit to one of the magnets and your motor is in a downward spiral unless disassembled and fixed or your controller needs replacing/repair......

Good Luck

Re: MX650 mods?

I did a speed test of different Razor MX650 configurations from speeds of 16MPH to 28MPH. Includes electricscooterparts.com 1800W 48V kit and several gearing changes with different sized sprockets.

How has the bike been Johnneh?? Eventually I will do a brushless setup. For now, as I said last year in this post, I'm getting the 24v 500w motor. But I will gear down a bit for a fair more acceleration. 20mph will be great around my subdivision. I'm old, and my kids dont need anything faster. Plus technically, 20mph is the "legal limit" around here. Though 24 wont get me in trouble. Gas Mini bikes are a no no.
I will be building a lithium pack like you did.
I have a razor mini chopper that is extended 4in and has been overvolted to 36v with 12v 15ah batteries. 23mph for 30 min straight. Crazy fun. It has the stock worn out 250w motor, and a fast scooters throttle/computer. That's it. I am gonna also put a 24v 500w motor in purely for more acceleration.
Also have an E300 with a 12 yr old throttle and computer with 3- 12v 9ah batteries. But only 18-20mph. Same 250w motor.

Unfortunately they ran Johnneh out of here an electric bike that's that fast and that powerful was too threatening for their gasoline revving heads...

Someday I might have one that threatening. I would need to do at least 45 mph to be threatening. My mini bikes do 50 and so do many of my pit bikes and dirt bikes. But like Johnneh I want out of the hole power. I honestly don't care too much about the top speed but I want to be able to do 0 to 20 mph as fast as possible

I like how even when he sits all the way forward and preps himself the bike still wants to toss him off the back lol.

You can if you don't mind the jerk and understand that it will fail with anything over stock power
