Question x1 transmission help

So I got my x1 pocket bike two months ago and it seemed to really have slow acceleration. I figured it was the transmission so I took of the plate and inside were the two sprockets with the double chain and also there was no oil just thick grease. I cleaned that out and poured in 30 wt motor oil until it was full and rode my bike like that. Oil would always leak out on top but soon stopped, I guess because it ran out. Recently I met this guy that has an x1 all stock but his bike is way faster and it burned out easily. Mine never burnsout and the acceleration is still very slow. Any ideas?
I appreciate the help.

Re: x1 transmission help

That's how much oil you put in it. You can use whatever oil you have from motor oil to gear oil

Re: x1 transmission help

I use lighweight synthetic oil like 5w/20 Amsoil mixed with a lil white graphite chain lube......Heavier weight oils add too much drag..........Alot of others use just plain 30wt oil......

100cc's is as much as a shotglass full of oil............It isnt very much.....

Re: x1 transmission help

If you put too much oil the moving parts have swim thru the oil or power loss.

Re: x1 transmission help

Its Permatex silicon, all different kinds, the black will work great for that, any auto store or hardware store will have it.

Re: x1 transmission help

thanks everyone for the info. I didn't get to the transmission when another problem occurred. My pocket bike was running fine until I changed the bolts that hold the muffler to the engine. i swapped the bolts and rode my pocket bike for like 10 minutes and it ran fine. I came back like a hour later and I couldn't start it. It usually starts in 2 pulls. I pulled the string at least 30 times when I noticed there was a puddle of oil in the black cover underneath the exhaust. I took out the spark plug and it was moist so I put it back in and thought that I had to much 2 cycle oil in my gas. I added some more pure gas into the gas tank and shook it up. Then I tried to start it and at first it was barely starting but eventually I got it going. I rode it down my street full throttle and noticed a serious decrease in speed and power. I dont know what to do.
