Re: i bought a new gas scooter 2 years ago and it wont start

Okay, so first and most important: what model scooter do you have? Pics/link to pics of the bike? Gotta give us a little more than "a gas scooter" .......

Have you done any mods to the bike? If so, what? One of the mods may have messed things up, FYI ... Did you leave the gas sitting in the scooter while you stored it, or did you drain it? Getting any spark when you try starting it? Turn the petcock on? (Sorry, I know this sounds like a stupid question to you, but there are actually some people who don't know this ....)

Possible problems:
Clogged fuel line/filter/main jet
Bad coil/spark plug
Dirty plug
Wrong gap between coil and flywheel (business card-sized spacing)

Without knowing what model you have, this is the best I can do for right now...... As for the company not refunding your money or giving you a new scooter, you also have to remember you are talking about a two-year-old scooter ... do you even still have your original sales receipt for it? Most companies won't do anything without that all-important piece of paper, especially not taking back a defective bike. You will probably have to send the entire bike back to them to get a new one, and more-than-likely they will not reimburse for shipping without an exception/defective tag id number ...

Dear haters: Please be patient. I have so much more for you to be annoyed about.

Re: i bought a new gas scooter 2 years ago and it wont start

first off if you bought it 2 years ago there is no way anyone will give you money back...the warrenty for any bike or scooter is 30 days....as for them taking your motor and sending it back you yourself said it did start at least once so they will not help you either.....you have the same engine that came on the x1 andx2 series bikes they are a dream to fix the main thing that goes wrong with these engines are the owners....they mix the wrong fuel mix and then try to blame the company for selling them junk....another thing is if you let it sit for more than a month with the same gas in it then the carb is gummed up..2 choices are there get a new carb or clean the whole carb and i mean the whole thing...as well as check the col for spark.....the carbs are the number 2 reason for these not starting of course you already know the number 1 reason if you read the whole post......

Re: i bought a new gas scooter 2 years ago and it wont start

really I have three solutions. one is to send the motor back to them again. two is to clean everything out. if those two don't work then go to like google and type in "(scooter model) engine and part" and look for that.
