Redesigning the exhaust pipe for a two stroke motor. The goal is to have the exhaust pipe exit on the right side vs. under the seat.

Fashioned up a hasty chainsaw pumper carburettor installation to the kids 47cc? Cag? Old pos carb wouldn’t play the game. Metal set, some choice cuss words and a pinch of precise engineering. Voila. Towing a big long blue rag!

Mrkitty. It’s a zama c1s out of a box of crap in my shed. But I think it’s off a homelite saw. I had a bunch of walbros and tollistons too but this is the only one with the external pulse. Trying to include a passage in that manifold seemed like the hard way!!

Looks like a killer project Chrisi.

Looks like it was well ridden and took a nice slider on its right side..No big deal though looks just like cosmetic damage to the body and throttle end..

Did you get the engine with it too?

Pratt and Whitney? The pocketbikes we see around here are chinese made and come with dax 2 stroke knockoffs aswell as mitsubishi 2 stroke and Honda based 4 stroke knockoffs.

The only Pratt and Whitney I know of is a turbine engine...

Just Google 43cc/47cc/49cc pocket dirtbikes and look through the images click on image and look for the specs which are basically all the same.

Between 1.6 and 1.9hp for the 2 strokers with a blazing top speed of 20-25mph .The new 40cc and 49cc 4 stroke honda knockoffs are 1.4hp-1.6hp and top out at 20mph.The 50cc-110cc super pocket bike engines between 3 and 7hp and range between 30-40mph.

Cheers guys for the info. The Pratt and Whitney comment was in jest. I’m an aircraft engineer and put the stickers on because Pratt and Whitney are awesome!! I put the external pulse port in when I hacked up the manifold 👍

LOL..I kinda thought that was rhetorical...LOL

GE turbofans arent anything to sneeze at either. Its what powers that badazz A10 x 2.The newer Chinese made ones though I say meh and pffft.

My mom used to work for Fairchild then to Grumman when they merged then went over to Northrop in Palmdale ca all as a wiring and fuselage inspector til she retired.

Got killer tips as a kid from the engineers working there about how to convert ordinary McCulloch mainly also Western Bend chainsaw engines into twin carburetted fire breathing monsters seeings most of them used to race karts in the 50's and 60's....LOL

Luckily for me my dad used to have a machine shop and his main business was gun barrels for Ithaca guns, manufactured and pressed in the bushings in the brake rodends for jets aswell as pylons for Fairchild,Grumman and Sikorski.. He also manufactured beryllium copper minecutters so manufacturing what we needed to win races was pretty easy and cheap...

Re: What did you do to your bike today.

Don't laugh, CAM2 remembers the jet Cag pocket bike, used a RC jet plane engine hooked to a 90 degree angle grinder head and run on propane, he was running 16,000 RPMs but said there is more.
Then there is Timmo and his buddy and the 3 engine inline Cag. in a frame they built.

Yep I also remember the member who built a front wheel drive minivan with a jet engine in the rear.Krugtech was the member.

That guy was literally flying down the pavement.

Best part about it was it still was able to run around on its initial powerplant...

Those Timmo and misfit guys weren't the best at taking critism.I remember one of them getting quite peeved at me ...LOL

I still cant understand how what they built can be considered a drag cag and the design could've been more refined being built a lot thinner aswell as a lot lighter.

I seen a couple guys on utube build a twin enginned twin cylinder pocket dirtbike aswell as a twin enginned cag with a totally stock cag frame size and length...

That thing they built could've housed 3 100cc KT100 racekart engines and tried for the homemade minibike landspeed record....:P:
