X15 gas tank

I need a gas tank for a x15 to complete my project. They have the same fairing as my x19 but gas tanks are different

How did you come to that fact that both tanks are physically different under the cover because theyre not...…Perhaps you mean the remake of the X19 which comes with an easy to rust up steel gastank under the plastic cowl.....

2007 X15...……….

2007 X19...………………

2007 X15 and 2007 X19 side by side...……

Anyways its kind of moot....Ive done some searching and done some pm's since your first thread and was told youre gonna have to improvise because the reason is the X15 was first manufactured in 2005 until 2009..The cheap chinese plastic tanks were made with a high level of discintergrating chemical causing all tanks to be scrapped after 2015 due to the fact that they were disolving from the gas when being sold as replacements.......

Good Luck with your search ....

Yeah I know what youre saying now..Its like I stated earlier about the older and newer bikes.......

The metal tanks that come on the newer X19's sucks to high heaven as it rusts up quickly inside because ethanol absorbs water out of the air naturally so it helps perpetuate the rust as the bike sits then the rust blosks off fuel to the carb.....

As far as that theres no set way or tank that can or cant be used aslong as it fits under the cover and flows fuel to the carburetor....

It seems that on none of both bikes either engine has e-start or the need for a battery so just by removing the battery tray and making mounts like I stated aslomg as it fits under the cover and flows fuel youre golden.....

If you want a direct fit model youre gonna have to find a place to make you one out of aluminum like a racing fuelcell seeings what you have are dragracing bikes..

Good Luck
