Timing this engine

So you mentioned making sure the marks line up. Where might I inspect this. Am I looking at a full tear down of the engine or can I remove the cover on the kick starter side to find these marks

You have to remove the two round plugs on the left side of the bike also the circular cover that covers the cam gear..........

Theres a mark on the flywheel and a line/notch that shows through the vertical plug hole and theres also marks[notch & D O T] on the cylinder head and the camshaft gear that all need to line up..

You take a socket with an extension put it through the center hole on the nut to rotate the engine...

Camgear cover bolt is the 10mm bolt right next to the sparkplug.....The bolt goes through the camshaft

Your best bet is to also buy a service manual but I feel it may just be easier to buy a 125cc engine and have way better..

Good Luck

Ok seems pretty simple then and yeah I have been trying to find the maintenance manuals venom was 0 help they told me I was S.O.L and that they came with the bike. I have thought about an upgrade but tight on cash hense the fixing of this bike for road legality... Truck eats gas bike eats less I'll see what I can find once I get the bolt and the other parts hopefully my local Honda can order them otherwise I have to order them online lol well I'll be back if I need some more help thanks

These engines are Honda based..A manual for a real CRF70/110/ATC70/110 is as close as you can get............

Im pretty sure those parts youre gonna need through Honda is only gonna run ya between $40 and $80.00 depending where you buy from..
https://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts...9591#sch418974

Hopefully after spending the $$ on parts the engine isnt worn out...

Id pull the clutch cover side and inspect how much metal is in the strainer and also to check the condition of the clutchpack.........

A new 125cc ready to run is like $250 shipped on ebay........

Good Luck

I bought a Clymer manual.... Honda 50cc - 110cc OHC Singles 1965 - 1999 book M310-13, around $30.
