Sounds like you need to go over your work..

Remove the clutchbell and see if the pinion rolls smoothly inside the housing if not you need a new clutchbell bearing

When you replaced the clutch did you replace the whole clutch by removing the clutch mount from the crank or did you disassemble the 3 springs with 3 shoes from the new clutch mount and reasemble them on the old clutch mount?

When you installed the clutch its possible you took some shortcuts and didnt verify that the clutch shoes activate and easily snap back one at a time..

I would disassemble the clutch again clean up the pad screw shoulders throw away the wavy washers and reassemble...

The clutch needs to be assembled the correct way too....Its possible to install the clutch shoes backwards too.....

This is the direction the clutch should be installed......

Good Luck
