new guy, just recently put a bike together

hi! im new to the whole "pocket bike" thing

i traded some motorcycle handle bars for a semi complete roller that my buddy had (believe its a gp rsr, it has back suspension)
i bought a new engine which i recently received, today actually
its a 50$ ebay special (it has enough power to drag my 180lbs scary fast!)

i made my own muffler out of a soda can and packed it with some steel wool

plans are currently to just ride it and have some fun!

let me know what you think!

(also, how do you upload a video on here, because i have a video of the complete bike!)

Welcome to Pocket Bike World, that's what you have GP-RSR, looks like you bought a 49cc engine. Its a lot like an MT-A2 full body Cag with a rear shock, which by the way is a Joke. Your engine has a 44mm bore and 32mm stroke and has reeds under the intake manifold w/a 13mm piston carb, lots of parts online, tuned hp exhaust or make your own.
Have fun.

yea, i realized that that shock was useless the first time i rode it lol

this bike fits me much better than my buddies other half fareing cag (the 200$ special)
(im 6ft 1in btw)

i was thinking trying to do some porting (i have some experience porting on motorized bikes, the 66/80cc ones)
any tips or just leave it as is?

i think i might just modify the exhuast already on there (add a bigger 3" section and shorten the intake some)

but so far im impressed with the little thing, as its still breaking in, ill have to hold off on the modifications (well, at least until my buddie tries racing me lol)

do what you have to.. to make the shock stiff you want it so stiff it feals like a hard chunk of rubber after that mod 🙂 those are awsome bikes 🙂

the engine is awsome jump on skullcam on youtube and do the free mods if you want to port it go for it... it loves it...

Faster then a speeding E Revo

yea i ended up lossening the shock acutally, now it feels like its there (absorbs all the bumps)

now, i had my carb clog up with some weird particals, is this normal during break in? i cleaned the tank before hand, and cleaned the fuel filter, so i have no idea how it got in there

i ended up fixing my buddies other pcoket bike, and he gave me 2 new reeds, a billet intake (could be a custom one off, idk), and a carb.

figured id post the pics of the complete bike

Re: new guy, just recently put a bike together

All my bikes all winter sat, had to clean every main jet, even My X18 110cc 4 stroke. Drop the float bowl and remove the long brass jet and brass atomizer tube, lots of tiny holes. The main jet hole is about .025" very small, clogs very easy that's another reason for a pumper carb. AMSoil that's what I run in all my bikes 4 strokes too. You have the 5 spoke rims, much better balanced the A1 & A2 3 spoke. Ride it like you just stole it, lol. AMSoil octane booster also, and Sta-Bil or other brand of fuel stabllizer keeps alcohol and additives from separating for a year.
