Looking for a race bike

Hi, my name is Matt. I actually found this site researching for a small motorcycle to run in Texas MiniGP next year. My question is how would a new 2020 X19-CR hold up, provided I can get one? Can someone race an X model? And who exactly makes them?

The only site I can find that sells one, says they are sold out till September. It lists 140lbs and 15.5 hp. If that is true, it would be competitive in Superbike or F7, provided it stays running in stock form (tires, carb jets, and exhaust changes only). I know I could go motard, but I would rather have a sport bike, without spending Kayo, Metrakit or Ohvale

if you go with a china bike more then likely your going to get stuck raceing groms and they are going to own you...

the other thing is a member on here tryed to track race a x18 and he spent $$$$ on it and it still wanted to lowside high side because of bad geometry.

you whould be better off geting a YSR Grome or a mini dirt bike with track tires

Thanks man, that’s all I needed to know, and I had a feeling it wouldn’t be the best option. I’ll look for a KX65 or CRF110

I highly doubt they'd let a fuel injected bike comptete against carburetted models...

The only X models that don't make good racing bikes is the X22....With a lil mods you can make the rest very track ready....

There's members here that have successfully raced the X19/18 and X15..

Your bike no matter which you choose must have a track tech inspection and must be equipped according to the rules of each track you plan on racing at...

Good Luck

I’m going to the next round in a couple of weeks to look around. I can get 6 x19’s for 1 Ohvale GP-O 160cc, which happens to be 15hp and 145lbs too. I saw a set of 12” mags for KX65 for $450, so that’s an option. I’m really researching at this point. I’ll know better if really want to do it after I go watch at the track. Thanks for the replies

dont believe engine rateings or speeds (or aneything for that matter) from websites selling china bikes

they have been out of stock for years because they dont make them any more the websites keep them up on the site because they use bait and switch tactics
