Cateye noob

Hello. I recently picked up a couple cateye bikes one was about finished and tge other needs a new motor (the mounts were cracked) ive been looking online and been reading my eyes out and cant figure out what is going to wotk best for my bike. The problem im running into is the motor that is on the one bike that runs has 4 mounting holes and the motor that has the broken mounts had 4 mounts. Now all the motors im finding all look the same but in the decriptions they are saying that it only has two mounting holes. Ive read that there is a seller named pcc motors and that person has what im looking for but i gound them and came up with the same results. This is the one motor im looking at from pcc motors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00R5...6NW9A2EP&psc=1
Any help woukd be greatly appreciated im pulling my hair out tring to get a motor. Please and thank you for your time.

Ok so i bought that engine, it arrived today. Couple questions about it. First, i know that it needs mixed gas and it has to have a break in period, what mixture should i use for the break in period? How long should it be ran to be properly broke in? After that what mixture should i use? Also after the break in period and i get it going for a while i have planned on putting an aftermarket carb on it (ive already bought the carb) what it the highest mixture recomended for the best/fastest i can get out of this engine? I have also read that hooking up all the stock lights and gadgets will restrict the motor from its full potential.

Break it in on non-synthetic 2 stroke oil mixed to 32:1 for the first tank , 36:1 for second tank,40:1 for third tank and 50:1 for the 4th tankful also the rest of the time .

You can also upgrade to synthetic 2 stroke oil after fourth tankful.

I'd also use between 91 and 93 octane fuel...Non-ethanol fuel is preferred...

Another thing to note is not go go past 1/4 throttle for first tank,1/2 throttle for second tank,3/4 throttle for third tank and on 4th tankful just let it rip...

Proper break-in is paramount for engine longevity....Resist temptation,be patient and you'll have a better time...If you scorch the rings youll have a crappy running engine with crappy power...

The fastest youll get on bone stock is 27-28mph.....With mods up to 35-40mph.

As far as what you heard...Its true....Even without hooking anything up will too as the generator still generates power and the magnets still have pull...

To get the quickest spool-up and no lag you need to remove the e-start,gut the old one and install it on the new engine and put the e-starter on the shelf..

Good Luck

the break in mix is 32:1 none synthetic 2 stroke mix with 91 octain ethanol free fuel not going over half throttle for the fist three tanks

then the mix is 50:1

changing the carby is a complete waste of time without porting and blue printing the engine and even then the stock carby will still deliver

the air intake and the exhaust are restriction points and the timeing those engines all so benefit from a boost bottle

Re: Cateye noob

Also, I had one of the 4 bolt intake engines, I put a Boosted306 cyld. Its not 49cc w/a 44mm bore, its only 42.7mm, try to find a 42.7mm piston and rings?? The engine MrKitty shows only has a pull start and no starter/generator to charge your battery or run your lights. If you want lights you need the Gen. You can run LED lights that use little power and you can just charge the battery when it gets low. The Cateye lights are not legal, the LEDs are cheap and very bright.
Look under motorcycle lights at www. aliexpress .com, parts direct form China, also search pocket bike parts there.
