Re: 43cc carb tuning

If you want a bike you can ride all the time, by a Honda. All these China bikes are junk, 80% work and 20% ride. even if you buy a new engine you will have to remove body parts to put the new engine in. Maybe you should just sell it if you cannot work on it. The engines are Caveman as far as simple goes.
I have an engine, Cam2 has seen it, its a brand new 49cc highly modified piston port with lots compression. Has a full circle crankshaft from a reed port Cag engine, cost $25 for the crank and $50 to have it modified to fit the small crank seal on the starter side. Plus $100 for the engine. Plus hundreds of dollars in Labor. Has alum alloy head and chopped stock ported cyld.
This engine is one of a kind like CAM2 engines. My Winter Sale you can have it shipped to your home for $215. I will post photos if your interested.

Re: 43cc carb tuning

I did what you suggested and looked for any restrictions in the box muffler. I took it off and looked inside it and there was this weird plate with 3 holes in it instead of nothing. Do you suggest i make it so there is no plate restricting it?You also said you could show me how to debug the engine while getting a little bit of power out of it?

That plate with the 3 holes needs to be larger...……

Getting rid of the EPA carb and uncorking the exhaust is debugging it....

If the engine still is low on power chances are you have the restrictor plate between the cylinder base and the crankcase that needs to be removed also..

Re: 43cc carb tuning

What do you mean uncork? The exhaust i have on this is just a simple metal shower fixture pipe, and for the plate do you mean the holes need to be larger or the plate itself? Thanks

Find a way to make that plate with 3 holes disappear...

Holeyyyy crappp...I just realized from the wider picture angle you have a 40cc 4 stroke engine...Its not even 2 stroke...

The oil dipstick is behind the pullstarter……….

Get rid of that bike and get another...…….Those 4 stroker engines "Are the Worst"

Not really.....What sux is its not like you can just buy a 2 stroke engine and slap it in the 4 strokers place....

Youre gonna need to do some cutting and welding to make that happen..

The ad says its a 2 stroke but the bike pictured is 4 stroke so you better contact the seller first to be absolutely sure...

Looks like he can fit the 2 stroke CAG engine on that thing it might be worth the 60$ to order one and see if you can make it bolt up with some slight mods to that current mounting plate

Re: 43cc carb tuning

They don't import 2 stroke pocket bikes anymore, thanks to the EPA. So, you need to find used one, hopefully in good shape, but parts are pretty cheap and there pretty easy to work on. First, there are 3 sizes, pocket bike, mid bike, and Super Pocket Bikes like my X18. The small ones a Cag-MT-A1, A2, A3 and water cooled A4 known as China B1 or C1, Then Euro made racing bikes My avatar GRC-GP, then Blata & Polini and more. I would look on Craigslist and eBay etc.
I have bikes & new hp engines for sale, but I live in California and shipping can cost as much as the bike.
This is my Cag Lucky 7, Super X18R Nitro.

Yes the new 2020 CAG is a 4 stroke you need to find a seller with new old stock even thow some sellers say it's the 2 stroke it's really the 4 stroke if you look at the picture send the seller a message before you buy... Looks like the EPA is clamping down even on the smallest of the 2 strokes they are no where to be found and when found marked out of stock...

Re: 43cc carb tuning

Do you have an engine you recommend? I have no idea what to look for.
And are you sure for a fact that its 4-stroke?

Typ in pocket bike 2 stroke into eBay then look for an engine like this one

The piston port 2 stroke is to wide and the coil will hit the frame...

You see that black knobby looking thing behind the pullstarter handle...?

That's your oil dipstick....Pull it and see how much engine oil you have....

2 strokers don't have an oil dipstick anywhere

Sure they do....Minipilot bought first a 4 stroker then he bought a brand new 2 stroker from ebay after he got tired of the 40cc 4 stroke joke breaking down constantly..………

This was like a month or two ago..

Re: 43cc carb tuning

Its a four stroke piece of ........!!!! I like the style of the bike and frame, but there very short like 40". Unless you have a welder and enough tools putting a Cag 2 stroke in that bike, if possible would be a lot of trouble. I think someone else here already tried.
