Sounds like you need to be more aggressive on the throttle....

You should always check the clutch adjustment after every 3-5 races and deglaze the pads n clutchbell each time....

If youre just riding it you better get a different bike for that if youre not gonna ride it like you're racing it as it is after-all "a racing machine"....

Good Luck

Re: Blata origami b2 broken clutch

I would talk to member Chrisi, he can sell you a good used or new clutch. My supplier is out of business as many are too. Its nearly dead her in America. You might be able to use a C1 clone Blata clutch $20. A real clutch is $200 to $300, you can buy replacement arms and put them on your backing plate w/ new springs.

First of all, this is not a original Blata clutch pad, it's "made in China".
Original Blata pads have the name on it and there are 3 different pads available.
"normal" pad, "kit" pad and w50 pad. I've ad a Pic for example.
But it's also possible that your transmission setup was to long for an indoor track, it's better to be to short than to long. Also a high quality clutch like Zocchi, Blata or BZM will burn down when the transmission setup and the clutch setup is wrong.

The clutchbell you can give on a mille to clean it out.

Sorry for the bad english😅
Put the bell on a lathe( think that's the correct word).
You can also use sandpaper but it works better on a lathe.

Where are you from?

If youre racing I suggest you belly up and buy atleast 5 premium clutches in one batch...In racing clutches are the second biggest expense next to topend rebuilds so I hope your keeping tabs on hours and doing compression aswell as leakdown tests at intervals suggested by Blata techs.....Youre gonna need every one of those clutches and after those burn up you can buy new springs and kevlar material also high heat epoxy to reline your old clutch arms and have plenty of back-ups on hand ......

I don't even want to begin to fathom all the clutches Ive burnt out with all the toys I have or the amount of times Ive pulled a bellhousing and sanded a drum with 100 grit in a zig zag pattern ...LOL

Good Luck

Re: Blata origami b2 broken clutch

Go Chrisi, man. a China clutch on a Euro engine, that's a big disaster to start with. You need Kevlar pads if you racing on a track. Is the clutch housing Chinese or Blata?? You might need a different gearing, smaller pinion or larger rear gear so on a short track you don't burn up the clutch pads especially China pads, I see another problem I see, The Blata has a 80mm bell and the C1 has a 78mm bell, if that is true you have 2mm clearing when you need 1mm. That's another reason your clutch pads wear out fast, Your C1 clutch is 2mm smaller the a Blata clutch, way to much space. If your going to use them clutches you need to fit a China clutch housing. If your clutch plate is Blata I would look for re-done arms. I put a Polini housing and clutch on my 39cc polini clone engine with just a few simple mods, works very Good. I have a 79mm BZM bell here for worn clutches, I put a new billet 80mm bell clutch housing on my 690 cases on my 40cc BMZ engine.

Re: Blata origami b2 broken clutch

The guy you got it from did not know what he was doing. That's probably why he sold it, did not have the bucks for a real clutch. The winter before, the C1 was in my wood shed, I got it out in mid Spring. I started it, revved it and the engine came to a stop, locked up. When the new clutch sat all winter the crappy alum under the glue turned to powder, the pad came off and wedged in between another pad and arm.

The C1 clutch bell 78mm bell and 76mm OD clutch is to small for the 80mm Blata bell, the B clutch is 78mm. 1mm is the space between the pads and the bell, on a C1/B1 clutch in a Blata bell would have 2mm, way to much. Like that you would wear the pads in no time. If your engine is revving to high before they grip, you have to much space. My BZM has a 80mm bell, but I have a new spare 79mm so when the pads wear enough I put the smaller bell in the clutch housing.
Your clutches are slipping to much with that much space, they might grab to late, and if you back off at all they will slip.

Clutches + price.
And the last picture how to remove the clutch without a removal tool, always turne one screw a little bit, then the next and so on.

Don't need a clutch to start and run the bike.
