New to pbp. Need some help

Had my dandy mr40 for about 10 years. Used to start first pull every time. Hasn’t ran for awhile. One day was letting the kids get in some laps around the neighborhood. Let the little deviant of the neighbors finally ride. He pulled back up and it dies. Never to fully function again. A few times idles but would die when throttled. Said he just held throttle wide open and used brakes to slow it. I do remember changing the plug prior but it ran afterwards. Any advice? Stock Carb adjustments? Factory spark plug? I’m at my wits end with this this been cranking on it periodically for about four years now. May have killed the winding on the pull cord today. Please help.

The dandys are collector items keep that in mind (parts are extremely scarce and when they pop up collectors are on it) check and make sure you have spark ( if you don't know how to do this search YouTube all engines are the same). If you have spark then clean out your carburator make sure you shine a flashlight throw the jet and that it's clear. If it still won't run do a compershon test

If it won't start after 6 or so pulls something is wrong there is no reason to keep yanking on it if you brake the pull starter it's over a and it's going to be extremely hard to find another one!!!

Faster then a speeding E Revo
