Flywheel with little movement

I have a mini moto and it kept cutting out as soon as it started moving so i decided to clean the carb. I took the whole engine out but when ive put it back together the flywheel only turns so far and then no further. It moves back so far before again not moving. I put a little 2 stroke in the spark plug hole to try and loosen it but that hasnt worked. Any ideas??

What engine do you have ? You should take the flywheel back off and see if it spins ok without the spark plug...

Its a 49cc engine. I will take the flywheel off and have a look. Maybe something came loose when i took the engine off and it was upside down?

49cc Reed inducted

Or 49cc Piston Ported

Those are two of the most common 49cc engines on China Pocket bikes at least...

You can upload the clip to like YouTube ( YouTube is obsolete) or TicTok then past the link here if it's the Reed inducted engine like the top one you may have installed the Reed cage upside down

Ive sorted it! I took the cylinder off and there was a tiny piece of metal in there which must have been stopping the piston turning. Removed it, put it all back together and its running!

Right on !!!! Dirt and debri foreign or non foreign objects whether it's flashing a little bit of screw or some metal from a ball bearing is the number one cause of catastrophic engine failure!!!

You should disassemble a little more than just the cylinder, where did the metal piece come from?
If a bearing breaks and crumbles, you can throw the motor away.

Get your kick with 2 stroke mix
