If you do go with a place for bearings prepare to pay the extra markup..[ie: $5.00 - 15.00 online bearing being $15-25.00 each at most local shops.]

Especially SKF brand

https://www.123bearing.com/bearing-6904-2RZ-SKF.php

https://www.amazon.com/6904-2RS-KSM-...RJ84FV8BWA9NV8

https://www.amazon.com/6904RS-Bearin.../dp/B002BBB03C

Ceramic bearings....LOL..[I wonder what they'd cost at a retailer...!]

https://www.amazon.com/6904-Ceramic-.../dp/B002BBF3SK

I once took all the crankcase bearings from inside a Kawasaki 450 4 stroker to a bearing shop because I wanted to finish the rebuild in the same weekend...They wanted $202.00 less sales tax for all...I waited an extra day and got an OEM Kawasaki crankcase bearing set online for $80.00 flat...…..

With all the bearings in a two speed transmission the price you'll pay would be slightly lower than buying a whole new trans unit when paying the markup prices.....LOL

Its pretty easy using your cellphone to take a pic of the bearing then expanding the picture to get the right bearing # from off the bearing case or using a digital caliper to do an actual measurement of them but having the # is faster to find...

Its a lot cheaper getting them from places like ebay or amazon too.....

When it comes to choosing I always go with the rubber shielded deep groove design as the deeper groove design handles the sideloads exerted on them a lot better aswell as keeps the bearing better centered while the rubber shielding keeps out dust and water.\

Good Luck

Re: uberscoot 2x50cc

I buy mine online, 10 in a tube, free shipping and no tax. on the www. bearingsandbelts, and greatbearings .com. My last were from Amazon, crank bearings, deep groove, C3, 23,000 RPMs for a few dollars each, I compared them with my SKF can't feel any difference. I test mine with it on my finger and spin it with a 150lb of air pressure into the ball bearings with special gun. The China ones don't get near the RPMs as High quality bearings scream when I do that.

In these days its hard for shops to stay competitive with the internet unless they do huge sales in it and then theyd have to have quite a place to store them all in order to satisfy all who enter... Not all shops have every bearing and that means "Special Order"....Special Order means special higher pricing...

Give your bearing guy a call and ask him what the 6904-RZ go for and whether he has 6 in stock...……...

Show me any bearings I posted to the OP as being china knockoff crap that's worse quality than he has installed already or reviews that state the stuff is inferior quality...Im pretty sure the boxes say France and Japan.....In case you didn't know Japanese made dirtbikes use Japanese made bearings.....

The boxes say Honda,Yamaha,Kawasaki and Suzuki but they are made by an outside vendor...…Also like car batteries....Do you think there are different manufacturing plants for the different brands....?....LOL

The OP stated the bearing # was 6904-RZ...Unless theres two different types Im not privy to like you are I guess the bearing comes one size at 20mm x 37mm x 9mm..It may be odd to you but that's how the Chinese roll and chose to use...…..LOL

http://mcguirebearing.com is the local shop here in spokan wa they have one in tacoma wa as well they have never told me that they will have to order it i think they have everything in there warehouse i understand not every city is going to have a bearing shop but its worth googleing and calling around.

deep inside the transmishon there is a bearing being used as a thrust bearing for the shifting it goes out this is a known problem even the videos talk about it that one whould be first on the list to swap out
the second gear belt stretching is a known problem as well.

Re: uberscoot 2x50cc

I use the RB bearings for 6.5" wheels, there made it Taiwan. Na Chi, made in Japan are good bearings also, I have some SKFs made in France.
