Where in Charleston? I just bought my bike today so it should be here early next week. I'd like to get together to ride, need to find some decent places. I'm in James Island by the way.

I'm in West Ashley but the bike is my 10 year old sons bike and I'm not so sure you want to ride with a ten year old. I'm thinking about getting another one so maybe then we can get together and all ride, maybe even start something local with a few others?

I am looking for a place to run my PB (49cc Cateye from Autozone) without worrying about road hazards or problems with law enforcement. I would like to develope my new hobby and I'm willing to drive to have a safe place to ride. I've attempted some tuning, but haven't purchased mods (yet). So, I won't be very competitive initially. I will upgrade or buy a new PB depending on track conditions and competition. If there is a group and location close enough to Sumter SC, I may be able to get my friend to fix his PB and run too.

Re: south carolina

I hate to do this but has anybody gotton together and ride yet. We've got all this these people that posted in but. Nobody seemed to have posted up anything about a good solid group meeting up to race.I know the weather is a factor right now.But if you guys have got something going. You should post up and let us know of the success.Theres is a thread around here somebody posted up about myrtle beach sc.And old mall parking lot.I'm pretty sure that parkinglot is huge.It could accomidate a bet a large amount of bikes.WHICH Means we could get a good size club going.
Most of these threads i have read you guys can't be more than a few hours away from each other. So what's the problem? I'm pretty sure if you posted up some kind of follow up thread showing that most of you have met up more people would be willing to go.
Just think there people who are out there with these bikes that don't even know about this forum.I've been riding these bikes for a very long time and i just recently found out about this forum. If we get a club going we could print up flyers and pass them out.And attract even more people. The potential is there less talk more action.

Re: south carolina

Awww, man! I cant believe this. I wish I would have known earlier. I take it that the only bikes allowed to race will be 2 strokes, right?
