Need help identifying this

I have a Chinese mini chopper and I am working on the wiring. Can someone tell me what the round plug is next to the fuse?

Has threads on it like something was screwed on to it? Couple wires coming out the back of it.

Thanks,

Mark

Welcome to the forum...What youre referring to is the charger port where you plug in the charger to charge the battery........

Interesting. So you need to charge the battery after every use? I guess it would depend on how long the lights are on?

Yes you will..The e-starter doubles as a generator to recharge the battery which is only 40-50 watts also as a SLA battery sits around it loses its charge so it needs to be stored on a trickle charger...

Starting off on a freshly charged battery on initial start-up ensures a longer life of longevity of the starter aswell as the battery...Putting a load on a battery thats 80% charged isnt good for the battery, starter and the generator......

Actually everything with a battery really needs to be stored on a storage charger to keep the battery topped off but who do you know would go through the hassel?.....Apparently not the person who you got your bike from if they didn't supply the charger that comes with those bikes which is crap anyways...Heres what they look like...

Its better to use those cheapie $10 trickle chargers from Harbor Freight.

Switching over to LED lighting will further reduce the voltage draw.
