Hi all. Trying to get some of this rats nest, errrr I mean wiring figured out. I have the headlight working and some lights come on in the speedo. My current question is the back blinkers. I have 5 wires. The brown appears to be ground and goes to both lights. The yellow on one side and orange on the other I think are the positives. The blue and green go to the middle light. Is the middle light a brake light?

Cut off the bottom and mounted back lights. Put some new front blinkers in. All lights, blinkers and brake lights working. Started bike briefly and lights appear to be working when it’s running.

I know the brake needs to be on but does the key also need to be on to start the engine?

Yep they are but one thing Ill say is if i had that model chopper Id slap a Harbor freight 6.5hp engine with gov removal mod..

One things for certain is these chinese tool engines can be brought back from the brink of death alot cheaper..

Ive literally taken a 33cc stand-up scooter from out of a creek,,dried the engine ,,dosed it with silicone spray inside and outside,,cleaned itup a lil with a wire brush , cleaned-up the magnets on the flywheel then rebuilt the carb , replaced the fuellines, coil also the sparkplug put fresh fuel and it fired-up and ran pretty descently..

Then I disassembled the topend and modified it.......I think I put about $45 bux total into it to make it go from 13mph to 20mph......

Even though its my smallest CC scooter and doesnt see much action it still runs like a champ everytime I want to....LOL

This is a before pic before modifications

Scooter after mods...

This may be a silly question but I ordered a new 49cc engine (10% off and free shipping) and what I didn't think of is does the number of teeth on the new sprocket have to match the number of teeth on the existing sprocket?

It looks like the new sprocket has 20 teeth. Hard for me to tell exactly how many teeth the existing one has because the chain is still attached and it's hard to get a correct count.

Will it make a difference if they are not exact?

Thanks,

Mark

I think that the new engine comes with this sprocket.
Will I be able to just swap out the engine and use the existing chain?
