My mate picked this “kxd 50” up off eBay very cheap. Has the stock plug which is obviously lacking in quality so just wondering what you guys think he should run? I have already replaced with an NGK BM6A, not sure if this is best or not but I’d say is better than stock obviously. We are in the centre of the uk Birmingham so it isn’t too warm here lol. Thanks a lot.

Try changing out the sparkwire for one from an automotive set and see how it runs afterwards....

You may have to replace the coil too...………

Usually as topends lose their service life they start to foul sparkplugs...Try giving it a compression test....

Thanks cam2 so you think the BM6A is good. We will look into a better spark wire. Thanks.

And why do you prefer the hotter plug over the colder with this?

And how would you go about making a spark wire and coil for it mate? Would really appreciate the info. Thanks.

Re: Air cooled cag spark plug?

Any decent auto parts store has yellow Accell wire, by the foot, off a roll, 7mm works the best on Cags. I like SS wire too, on 4 strokes, with a powered coil. I use NGK caps also, or find one you like. Also, some coils the wire is not removable. You can also buy an auto coil wire that has two caps, cut off one end and snap the plug cap on your spark plug. I am trying a Diamond Fire E3-12 in my new billet engine.

Nice one lad, I like it. Will pass it on. Would you recommend the same setup on the b1 rep?

Re: Air cooled cag spark plug?

Might ask CAM2, my C1 the coil wire is epoxied in, don't know if you can cut and splice into it. Better buying a real Blata coil for $90 USD. Is your wire out the top or the side??

Comes out the top mate. Next to the pull start itself. Might look into a genuine blata one. Will obviously be of much better quality. Thanks for your help.

Re: Air cooled cag spark plug?

Get one that has the wire out the front side. I have a few out the top wires like that and the frame is in the way, out the side/forward works much better.
