Radiator ideas

So I have more or less all my b1 rep issues cured except one...and it's a small issue.
The radiator design is not good on this bike. The mounting bracket on top of it, they basically riveted it to the upper tank on the radiator puttting a fibre washer between radiator and mounting bracket!!!
Now....on a ten year old bike...the fibre washer is rotten and top of the radiator is weeping a little . Soldering is one idea I had in mind as everything's made from brass but I do not own soldering gear so if anyone has an alternative idea.?

Keep er lit

Well if the brass is still effectively cooling the engine plus isnt all beat up and youre not looking to shave weight off by putting an aluminum one take the radiator you have to a radiator shop and have it soldered also boiled out...

Certainly the second option is alot cheaper than buying a new alominum radiator that fits your bike...

Another option is to try JB weld but it wouldnt be a permanent fix.........

Good Luck

Re: Radiator ideas

I used radiator stick to seal my C1, its a tube w/ hardener inside, you take a small piece need it together and push it into a clean hole and let the epoxy set up. I also made metal braces off the bottom of the rad to my upper body mount bolt.
