Johnneh My batterys arrived!! I checked the voltage of each and every one on of them and read 3.55 to 3.56 volts.

MrKitty they can be run as lean as 60:1 and still some how be ok its not a good thing but they can.

what hapend was his automatic clutch stoped working automatically when the clutch spring snapped and now its stuck half engaged

the grinding is from bits of broken clutch spring geting chewed up

one thing nice about electric bikes is they dont have these kind of problems

Re: MX650 mods?

Check the compression you might’ve screwed your engine If you ran it with no oil

MrKitty i whould defentley check the clutch i bet you have a snapped clutch spring especially if you were letting off the throttle and then slamming back on the throttle again ( bliping )

Binx420 My 2 stroke is automatic you just pull the throttle there’s no clutch

MrKitty sounds like a broken clutch spring to me.

Binx420 I know this is the wrong group to ask this question to but this website is crap so I can’t start my own. I recently got a Chinese type 2 stroke pocket bike, ran fine and idled till I accidentally put gas into the 32-1 mix and probably made it about 50-1 ride it around untill it cut out and has not been able to start without the choke fully open and the throttle twisted a little bit. It will start up and run ok but as soon as the throttle is released the bike cuts out. Another part of this problem is that when driving it just very slightly releasing the throttle will cause the engine to make a grinding type of noise and then the chain will come off and this time actually wrapped around the back tire causing a sudden stop. I will try dinking around with the lean/rich fuel screw (sorry I’m a noob lol) and see if that fixes it but why are your guys opinion do I needa get a whole new engine or is there something I’m missing?

Re: MX650 mods?

You might want to buy an amp meter, its like a volt meter but it reads amps. It clamps on the wire and you can see how your equipment is working every where. They have load testers too.

Johnneh Good to know. Thanks!

MrKitty they should be fine down to 2.5 volts if they have 30% they will be fine for 10 months at room temperature... so dont worry about it 🙂

Johnneh Ok. I'm probably going to have anxiety until I get the bms and charger though 😐

We have a volt meter. Is there a certain voltage or something that I should panic and buy a charger?

MrKitty it wont hurt them but if your woreyed about it

your going to need

Johnneh Just found out a problem.... the batterys only ship with 30% charge... and I wasn't planning to buy the BMS and charger and pack builder kit until after Christmas... so what am I supposed to do??

I can't just let them sit for a month at 30% right?

MrKitty just poke out a wire with a plug on it.
1 Week Ago 06:05 PM
Johnneh Idk. I didn't know it mattered. I was hoping that I wasnt going to have to take the fake engine case off every time I have to charge it

MrKitty dose your speed control support charging li-ion???
1 Week Ago 04:05 PM
Johnneh Alright. Thanks... is it bad to charge it through the controller though? Or is it just not possible?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

MrKitty you just unplug the pack and plug it into the li ion charger the bms board prevents over charging and keeps your pack balanced one of the nice things about li ion is there is no balance port to deal with
