At the Elgin track in Sc, they want people to race pocketbikes. Noboby brings them, they only bring their shifter bikes motards mostly. You can race your x22 if you get track prep. But you will have to do a lot of work to it more than the other x series bikes.

ok thanks for the info look take my

Number down so u can text or call me so we can meet up or get something started and it doesn't matter if you win or lose its all about how hard u try and how much fun ur having and good sportsmanship. Like if ur in last place and if the leader is getting ready to pass u don't try to beat him let him pass u by I've been to races and some people there had that problem and it was a bug fight so if we start something ill go all the way to the end and my family would also invested in something like this so we can go pro

Re: Give me your tips for pit equipment

Heres a good one that I have done. I have a lot of warn out go kart slicks and I just put a piece of plywood under and cut out a foot and half pole and stick it in the middle of the tire and pour concrete mix in it. makes really great awning weights you can drill a hole in the pipe and the awning and put a pin through. it would be cool if you used old pocket bike slicks

Re: Give me your tips for pit equipment

My fam used to be huge tail-gaters, so they had some weights made for the easy-up. They're made of inch thick steal cut into a circle of about a foot & a half diameter. The have a notch cut into them so they fit right around the legs of an easy -up. Some black paint helped to give em a professional look. They've gotta be at least 30 lbs each.

Thanks for the info guys. I hope to attend my first race here shortly in SC or GA. Waiting on parts now; its like christmas eve.

Yah, but we're also talking about pit equipment here, jxc. What stuff would you bring to the track to be ready for racing?

Re: Give me your tips for pit equipment

I agree with Blitz, make sure your bikes are in working order. To me theres nothing more frustrating than having to work on your bike at the track. When you could be sitting and relaxing until your next session to get out on the track. If your bike is running good don't change anything before a race/track event.I learned the hard way last year.LOL

Re: Give me your tips for pit equipment

Start up your own group. Talk to some of the racetrack owners in the area, look at kart tracks. Talk to some of the local motorcycle shops and see if they have any special events coming up. If so, perhaps you and your friends could do a "demo ride" and do a little parking lot racing. Free advertising for both you and the shop ....

Re: Give me your tips for pit equipment

bring all your bikes, i seen alot of pb's that came to the track but didnt run good or needed alot of work done to it
also saw alot of pb parts comming off the bikes racing, so make sure your bike is well put together and safety wired and all that track tech stuff
bring lots of extra parts and enough tools to take the whole bike apart
bring a cooler with cold drinks, leather gets hot
enough gas
i like an extra set of wheels
