The question is kinda vague........Is the info you seek for modding or racing?
Welcome Juju... You sure your ATV is 2stroke? and what do you mean by "rules"? Import rules? Modding rules?
No my atv is a 4 stroke and the rules I was referring to is (new 2 stroke important rules) it's one of the topics that's in the stickied section. The reason I asked is because I just purchased a new atv non name brand for my son an I was trying to find ways to break it in correctly and maintenace advice so it will last a good while. That post was manly talking about 2 stroke tips/advices and I was wondering if I can follow those or not. BTW I will accept any advice/tips on modding, racing, up keeping and anything to do with a 4 stroke 110cc been though I'm new to this field. Also here's a link to the atv my son has http://www.coolster.com/ATV-3050B-B/ATV-3050B-B.html

Thanks
Cool... alot of people around here work on the 4stroke 110cc china engines... EPR and Jaloos both have 110-125cc chinese ATVs. The import rules are not the same for the 4 strokes, they are legit motors.

As far as maintenance and modifications, these things require alot of TLC to run and stay running, but there are alot of aftermarket upgrades available.

Hope this helped.

Mathieu
You should have gotten a Coolster 125cc, w/ reverse, it cost me $59 more to go from 110cc forward only to 125cc w/ reverse too, $ 549.
The rules are different, my 110cc dirt bike and 125cc ATV, came w/ a catalistic converter, welded in the haed pipe, look for the bulg in the head pipe, an air box hook to the exhaust pipe, and a bunch of hoses, and PCV valve it looks like, and a spark arrester screen inside the muffler. I took the back piece off cut the screen off drill 2Xs the holes in the baffles, pull all the other stuff off too and put a plate over the air box exhaust hole. Then put a 25mm carb, w/ 1 size bigger pilot and main jet, racing CDI and hp orange coil. It revvs way higher than before. You need a 22mm carb if you go bigger.

Soon any atv or pocketbike manufactured after 2006 will not be legal to own..........

110cc's have potential but theres two ways you can go....budget build which requires intensive labor and a few dollars or but bolt-on parts that still need a lil work here and there to get them working right........

what do you mean by that cam is it the epa ect why will they b illegal
@epr I didn't get a 125cc because I was told it was more bulky handles stick out futher and way bigger wheels and the 110cc would be more suitable for a 3yr old. Also we're do you get your performance parts from??
Don't you mean before 2006, don't see how they can make bikes they let into the country go illegal? I was told where I got my 125cc ATV I had to registar it at the California DMV and to get papers from them. Must be for off road legal.

Jan1,2006 the EPA stated that any pocketbike thats modded past stock form is illegal unless recertified......

@CAM2 I've read some where on here about and oil cooler . Do you think that will be something I need to add to keep the motor cool?? due to the fact that my son will be driving on very low speed for majority of his riding for the next couple of months

The homemade headbreather kit is better IMO..........It powersucks out the trapped heat from the around the valves,,eliminates the parachute effect and because it sucks out the heat helps keep the oil thicker while increasing engine revs...an oil cooler just cools the oil.............

Thanks a lot I just ordered oil cooler, engine balancer oil catch , performance Cdi,inferno coil, and nkg iridium plug. I think I should see good gains with this let me know if there's anything else I can add that will go good with my set-up
When I add my breather tubing, not running crap back in my motor for Al Gore or anyone else, lol. The tube off the valve cover piece is going up to a small filter and vent into the air.
Just an update and slight issue so I took back the 110 and got a 125 w/ reverse love it . So far changed oil ,fuel filters, spark plug and fuel lines, .. 1 minor problem when in gear and I mash the throttle down it bogs and cuts off but if I gradually hit the throttle till wide open it's fine and in neutral I can open then throttle with out a problem and advice???
:D

If its a new bike I suggest a gentle and generous break-in without any full throttling until loosened up and the oil is changed...........i also suggest removing the codliver oil from within the crankcase and use real oil.........Castrol 10w/40 4t 4 stroke motorcycle engine oil is what to use...Dont use oils formulated for cars......

It sounds like you need more fuel which is classic because theyre assembled and jetted for conditions around the world....If its a new one itll have a non-adjustable needle with a cap over the a/f mix screw but with a couple thin and tiny washers you can still raise it up....................Good Luck
