hey guys,

i just bought a 110cc x7 super pocket for 60 bucks. The bike would not start in the beginning. but i cleaned the carb, which was already fairly clean. i put a different spark plug in. For some reason the bike would not start by kick start. the flap on the carb for the choke is broken, i decided to spray some staring fliud into the carb. it did start, but it shut off within 2 seconds. i'm assuming that the bike isn't picking the gasoline, would i need a new carb.

let me know guys

i want to ride it, before the summer ends.

thanks for your time.

These 110cc 19mm carbs do this all the time. My 125cc carb is doing the same thing, it runs with the choke on, but turn it off it stalls.
Did you unscrew the pilot and main jet and clean them good. The pilot jet, thin and long is like .016" it clogs so easy, will not idle or run if that is clogged. I am putting a 22mm on in a few days, will clean the 20mm later.

hi,

thanks for the quick reply EPR, yes i did clean the jets. and is it a good idea to purchase bigger jets like you are. also my carb leaks from the bowl because theres no gasket there. should i purchase a new carb. or can it be anything else to why its not starting.?

thanks once again...

if your bowl has no gasket chances are youre getting air in the system, thus making it run too lean for it to run

The bowl has vents to it so the possibility of it running lean is nil...Spilling all over and making a potentialfire hazard...........YES

As far as I remember my Pz-19 carb has a rubber o-ring sealing it....Ive seen people seal the bowl up with seal-all or RTV but getting the bowl open again is a beotch.You can get a bowl gasket through bikebandit or ebay.....In bike bandit lok up 1985 ATC110....

hey guys, thanks for suggestions. i will try to post pics of the bike shortly...

also the flap in the carb that opens and closes, when turning the choke on and off. that piece is broken off. should i just get a whole new carb. or a gasket. do i really need that choke flap. after starting the bike, and then once it turned off within 2 seconds. all of sudden i see the gasoline leaking from the bowl. it only starts when i spray some starting fluid. so basically the carb is no good right.?

thanks guys

u guys r the best!

Can you find a brand name on the carb?? I have 3 different PZ19 carbs from 3 different companies in China. The main jets seem to transfer, but the pilot jets were different on 2 haven't check the third it's on my X18 going to put my 22mm back on that I cleaned. My spare parts 19 has the spring loaded black cable choke piece that's broke on yours.
