Welcome to the forum............Is the x9 2 stroke or 4 stroke? Can you post pics of the DR9?.What parts do you need?.photobucket is free and easy........

You can get parts from ebay,,scooterparts4less and a few other places...........
Dr9 aka Monkey bike, needs plenty of work since this is the condition I picked it up in

And the x9, it is a 2 stroke

yup I'm familiar with photobucket

Nice...all 3 bikes you have are Mitsubishi clone piston ported engines...the cateye is gonna be 49cc as was the dirtbike and X9....

All 3 engines are the same ..............The dirtbike is also gonna need a transmission so a whole cateye setup may work no problems.........
And this is what the dr9 is supposed to look like complete

I am a little short on working engines right now, I have a bid on a tranny on ebay for the monkey bike and wiring I figured if I needed to I could order one for a cateye and that should work. I can find all of the monkey bike body except for the seat on ebay, kinda pricey though. Have not been able to find body parts for the x9 yet.

You dont need any wiring to run the engines. The e-starter and all the wiring is a novelty and you gain more performance without them,,,They simply pullstart like a weedeater with or without wiring,,key on,prime,choke,pull.............

That X9 looks pretty much ready to run......Id have that thing running in an hour tops but I also have alot of extra parts.....It most likely needs a new sparkplug,,tank cleaned and maybe a good tuning or a carb rebuild...They run on premium fuel at 42:1-50:1 two stroke mix..............

As far as a powerplant for the DR9..This is what Id buy........

well I can get the x9 running but it wont run with the choke off, I cleaned the carb and tried to do a visual on the gaskets and intake manifold for places it could be sucking air but havent found anything yet, looked like a new carb on ebay is about 12 bucks though

Watch the vid I posted...The carb is the same...You most likely need to clean the in-tank fuel filter and richen the Lowspeed needle.............The vid explains how..........
I watched the video and to my surprise there was an adjustmant screw I didnt know about.... the one on top. So after cleaning a bunch of white gunk out of the hole I adjusted it out about 3/4 turn and shut the choke off and it kept running :) adjusted the air/fuel a little bit and rode it around the yard. went up to about 10 mph but didnt go any faster since I didnt want to make a trip to the hospital in my pj's (night person) Thanks a whole lot for providing me with that video

Nice.....Good to hear it worked out for ya.....Just so you know and what wasnt explained in the vid is how to adjust the side needle......Prop the rear wheel up with engine running,,,gun the throttle and adjust the side needle til you get the best and highest rear wheel revs...

On another note........as the carb diaphragms lose their pump there will be a need to increase that Lowspeed needle....Instead of buying a new carb when the time arrives it will be a good investment buying a real walbro WYK 15mm carb rebuild kit...Its like $8 bux shipped on ebay and the real Walbro rebuild kit will add performance to the chinese clone carb you have..............

Good luck with the bikes and lots of happy rides on them...
Do you have a part number for the WYK kit?
Sweet thanks, I seen that one but I don't think it said it was for the 15mm so I wasn't sure
Aghhh.... the suspense is killing me..... sorry. A few hours ago I found a complete and running dr9 dirt bike for 120 on Craigslist its got new carb and newer red case engine and looks like everything works. They didn't put a phone number just email and they haven't replied back. :(

Someone caught the pocket bike addiction bug..............LOL..

Thats ok..I have more than I can remember and cant even count them on my fingers and toes without running out of digits......LOL
Nice Harley Sportster, yeah your addicted already, lol, lol. Nice find on the bikes, your going to find you have to work alot to keep them running. I have 10 bikes and still looking, lol.
Well I can't ride the harley around the yard with the kids now can I..... lol I had to have something. I do like them and have noticed that they do need costant attention. Last thing I modded on my sons cag was he broke one of the flimsy plastic foot pegs off on a corner so I have a wrecked 97 fzr600 and I used the passenger foot pegs and part of the bracket and welded them on.. he shouldn't break those.......

Still no reply on the dr9.... might have to give up on that one.

Ill ride anything anywhere...it wouldnt be my first time I rode a harley in the snow so turf isnt as bad........LOL

Nice sounding quick fix on the pegs....When mine break off I thread the posts with a die tap and add BMX stuntpegs and extra secure them with washers and nuts from inside

Well if I dump the little China bike in the yard while goofing off with the kids and not the Harley then I think I'll be better off. Stunt pegs have run across my mind but was thinking of just welding them instead of threading...which is a way better idea since they aren't permanently on there.
