Well, the kid was working on sticking a knee out in the parking lot on Saturday.

He got the knee and the lower radiator bracket came loose. It rattled off, fell down into the fairing, hit a bump, caught the front tire, and put a nice little hole in the **** thing.

So, where to buy a Blata Elite radiator for the 39cc bike???

I repaired my C1 radiator w/ a repair stick you nead it together and put in the cleaned hole, and let it dry all night. Need to drain it, I used acetone to clean the copper then the epoxy stick.

I haven't had time/been able to do much of anything with the bikes as of late. My son is 18. He's hooked! The Blata is just as you sold it still. We did raise the seat up another 1/2 inch though. New cables on it as the brakes were getting a bit weak from cable stretch/breakdown.

The Phantom is on the fritz. I'm sick of the 20mm carb. Buying a 19mm as they are much, much easier to tune and there's no real loss of power except at the very, very top of the RPM range. Right now there's no midrange at all. It's either on the pipe 100% or not at all.

The league has been on hold too. Just no time to invest in it right now. Hoping to have both bikes up again soon so that we can start running at the kart track this winter. We'll see how work goes.

My son is here full time now so its a big help. He's taking over the paint/coating depts for me. Big monkey off my back and he's been doing a killer job on the gun stocks.

More to come.

Or go with the 21... It would work on that bike no? I have a 18 on my 50cc 6 port and it works great.. I read the 21 would give me .5 more hp.. I'm going to put a 21 on the Polini when it gets finished so we will see the difference. I hope you get her tuned up and she lasts a while.. Looked like a sick bike!! Glad you got your boy into the sport. If I found this when I was 18 i would have been stoked.. lol Not that I'm not now! hahah!

Good luck finding time for the League and thats way cool that your son is taking over some jobs for you.. I'm sure that helps alot! Is he gonna be the next best Gun Smith or a mini GP Pro??

Have fun man!

Did you fix the radiator. The Napa auto store repair stick was like $5, and I was going, this will never work, blew me away when it stopped the leak.

I've not messed with it. I may try the epoxy route just to see if we have any luck. My issue is if out running this thing hard and it lets go it's going to be right in the middle of a corner (cause thats how my luck works) and then I'll eat a curb, break a foot, ask god why he hates me, and lay there like a biche in the middle of a parking lot/track. :)

A $100 radiator seems like a cheap alternative from this perspective.
