Do you have to heat the bars to bend or just cut and weld on
Heating and bending was required...I did it with a turbo torch plumbers use for sweating copper pipes with a yellow mapgass tank......

Mapp gas gets to 1200 degrees farenheit and will heat the bars cherry red quick...then you quench the heated newly bent steel in oil...........

A cag rearwheel is like 3 times wider than a bicycle rearwheel and needs a minimum spacing of 8" between the arms....

If you were to do it I would measure the stock spacing of the bike before hacking them off and do the same for the pocketbike this way you can get an idea how much it needs to be bent in order to widen and attach,,,,,,,,,
