I have a cateye and the chain is stretched out enough for me to take out a link, i cannot find the half clip, is there another way to do this?

Cut the link with a dremel and remend the chain with a masterlink......

What you want to do is grind the pins until they are flush with the link than stick a screwdriver in it and it will pop off real easy. You can get a master off ebay.

Don't buy them $15 junk ones, the pins will bend or break off. I grind the pins flush by bench grinder or my 4 1/2" disc grinder, put part of it in corner of my vise and use my pin punch to push it apart and screwdrivers works great too. Your not going to reuse that part of the chain, so you can mangle it if you have to,lol. I buy 10ft rolls of chain online, that come w/ 3 master links for like $13 and cut them to size.

mine worked great till i used it on the cam chain which is too small but i tried it anyway and it did break, but when i used the tool properly it worked fine
