So today i got all my parts in, decided to put my sprocket on with the engine out.. turns out the cvt needs to come off, which is a pain in the ***. Got the sproket off, and the new one was snug, so i tapped it on and broke off some teeth (FUUUUUUU). Now im trying to get the sprocket back off to put the stock one on, but its not budging what so ever (obviously due to me tapping on it). I will run out an get some pb blaster, but im trying to disassemble the entire cvt, so i can use a tap(or similar object) and bang the sprocket back off..

Please this is urgent, i need help lol

Center punch with a nice strong spring in it might work. that or get a fly cut bit one size smaller than the sprocket and drill it out.

My first option probably the best idea.

now you see what kind of cheap **** metal these parts are made of lol. I work in a sheet metal shop and have never seen anything so brittle.
Find someonewith a gear puller or just try to pry it up with a long screw driver..

What a gear puller looks like here...

Always has a better answer than me, LOL.:thumbsup:
lol, not trying to out answer anyone..

There are many creative ways to get wiggle it off I'm sure.. ;)

Cheers to you!
Yeah i definitely need to invest in a gear puller. I took vice grips crimped it around the sprocket and wacked it off. Probably just my eyes, but i feel like i bent the part where it holds the gear, lol. I will be contacting PBP about this matter, as their x7 fatty exhaust doesnt mount up either. The welds get in the way, nothing a dremel cant fix but ****, so much for bolt up.

Today was hell, but I got the bike up and running, with stock exhaust and stock front sprocket. Also have a pretty nasty exhaust leak using stock exhaust and exhaust manifold. I have pictures demonstrating all of this, and to reiterate, im going to go update my build thread.
Sorry thought u had a X1 for some reason.. Ya parts seem to go quick.. lol glad you got it started and running!

Cheers
Its definitely running. Ran some seafoam mixed with my gas today through it. Might up the concentrate, the bike didnt seem to make much of a difference, and i know its gotta be nasty inside.

What big bore like for these engines? I know a lot of free hand work would need to be done on the head, but where would i even begin?
You can buy a BBK for about 50 bucks online, it will need some honing, but the power gains are impressive.
Honing with what? A dremel? Or would I ship it off to someone who knows what their doing more then me?

Any 49cc 44mm? I thought that was for a diff style engine. Can I do a 2 piece cylinder?

Of course a dremel.....the kits are cheap and theyre raw...refinement in the right areas by chamferring,,porting,,blueprinting and deburring aswell as lightening will yield in huge powergains aswell as descent engine life longevity..............
Same engine as yours but yours dont sound like this one...its a bit modded.....My other scooters even more modded..two piece heads are ok but eventually they start compression leaks from all the thermal expansion/contraction

If its an x7 there are no off the shelf bbk's. They came stock with a 49cc/52cc. The best you can do for it is to pick up a ported head.

If you always look where youll land before you jump youll never get a thrill..........

That mod is a bit advanced...i suggest buying one and then studying it against a bonestock one........I used math,,measurements and careful cuts to pull it off...then I dremeled the hell out of it to produce..........
After I saw Cam2s and this other guy put a taller blue billet Cag head on the piston port, I had to build one, this was done w/ a hacksaw, 8" bench grinder, dremel, sandpaper, files, etc. The piston misses the head cap by .023". Started w/ an 16mm 813 carb, but just put a 19mm Walbro HDA223 purge carb, and a GS40 billet manifold I had to mod to fit. It's in a box waiting for a bike, have not run the engine on the stand w/ the 19mm.

Thats brute force and sheer power sitting idle waiting to run amuck upon the land...............Cant wait til you mount it and unleash the fury with that one EPR.......
Anyone ever hear from Sam on the regular? I sent him a pm, just gotta be patient now
havent seen him around the forums in a while... your best bet is probably his Email. His stuff is top notch I hear.
