on sept the 15-16 there is gonna be a race for mids at the track in Elgin SC
i plan on attending and would like to see anybody there with a bike who is able, you dont gotta be fast or know what your doing, but come and see what is possible and how far weve come
its 70 bux for the 2 days and thats the cheapest ive paid for a two day event, cause if i gotta drive a long way i wanna make it worthwhile by racing two days, i usually learn the track on day one and im competitive on day two
might bring naythun if hes ready to race the zpf
so its 2 months away, enough time to get your bike running and plan a trip, have fun while you still can...

Yep good times to be had by all..... Don't be shy scared or other. Heck they even have a scooter class!
Dang, now i really need to find a set of slicks... lol and get this suspension into racing shape!
your prolly not gonna find slicks but good tires will be enough, i ran my maxxis till i slipped it out but really i was just stupid, thats a maxxis on the 18 in my avatar, and its leaned way over on the stock suspension, even swheels was impressed
i didnt really find out where my bike was lacking till i went and pushed it, so dont worry if you dont have all the trick parts, its fun reguardless
wonder if the redbull girls will show this time
Yeah a slick for the rear not gonna happen. But as Blitz stated a good set of tires will work a mean listen, they have scooters racing! Don't get me wrong some of the race scooters from overseas will run circles around me. But these over here in the US. do not seem to be as fast. And still entertaining nonetheless. Good thing about this track is has some wide sweepers that you can take many different lines to get through. Great fun!!!
Onboard vid from the eyes on a scooter. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=59fd5u11vBs
Man, i really want to go, but im not sure about the 8+ hour trip... We'll see!
Atleast it will be for 2 full days of track time. I made the mistake of traveling 9hrs oneway for 1 day of racing. I will never make that mistake again.lol and for 70 bucs! We usually pay $120 to $140 for a weekend of racing.

Blitz i spoke to Rick from out of FL.He said Adam is supposed to be comin to race also. The guy with the yz85 motard lol i told him no cutting the track this time.lol man this gonna be fun! Boy are they gonna be in for surprise lol AGAIN!
sweet, im painting the other rim and putting the slick monster rode on with a tube on now, and put the race body on last night
hoping to practise this weekend at the school track
hey you want the front slick? i can put it on a rim for you
Well i heck yeah!!! Infact you should bring it as a spare. I have a brandnew front and some front rims to mount it on. But that a pain I don't want to deal with.lol
Oh yeah i sent Nutty a text earlier about the race. Haven't heard back from him yet.lol
Dam I wish I were closer I'll go as far as Pennsylvania and thats a 6hr ride for a weekend worth of fun but your just to dam far
I need to go up against some real riders to see how i actually am up here in a car or bike I've out drove/road anyone i know but I've only been on a real track with a car never a bike just raced on lots with the mids and i can lean in with confidence to the point where my tires were my limit and even on the big bikes so i think i may be ok but who knows till you actually go up against someone who is really good right someday I'll make the trip down there
man just went to ball the block and my carb is jacked, i know its the pilot jet clogged cause when it started my J pipe started glowing, so i gotta pull that off and clean it right, i was trying to laze out of it lol
ok Swheels ill put the tire on a front rim and bring it with me, and you give me a rim back then, ill prolly have my other maxxis front as a spare
ive never had to use a spare wheel yet but ive loaned one out to a guy who really needed a confidence boost...didnt help lol
nutty who?....lol
f22, i know its a long way but it should be worth it
dragon this is all you man! come get some!, plus as an older fart i wish i would have started way sooner ...ya know

yep you always need someone that can push you to the next level. I learned something from everyone I've ever had the pleasure to race with.

Yeah that sounds bout right. Blitz funny thing though i would get the samething happening too when i don't have my air filter on.
I'm in. Got my engine fired tonight! I'm gettin excited!
awesome, what is your expected setup?
Nice!!!

Man i can't wait to hit the track. Lol been analyzing the onboard footage alot. Scoping out faster lines and possible over taking maneuvers in some of the slower section. Listening to when they get on power of power and camera vibrations.lol
just like a junkie
ive been doing the mechanical
totally clean my carb, no more of that stuff, got slick number two on a rim after giving myself a blackeye and poking 2 holes in the tube, hope to test ride tomorrow
dragon this is all you man! come get some!, plus as an older fart i wish i would have started way sooner ...ya know
ya me too I've always been into racing cars that not a prob I've had big bikes for a long time first thing I rode was a 81 Suzuki ds 100 got it for $50 and the throttle was stuck wide open never rode a bike before just started it up and ran it like that first time out using the kill switch as my throttle lmao had it like that for 6months before I got the money for a new cable

I was just always a little scared of taking my bike out to the tracks now I wish I would have
And with these bikes its just crazy I never thought I'd be dragging around corners even at 40+ its still fun I bet 100 wouldn't be so much fun tho on big bikes kinda may ish myself LOL
Man drgn you would have loved to be at V.I.R. back in the days. The grid was all mids making their debut. Actually thought that was gonna be the beginning of beautiful things for the mids.lol It was a blast and i really use to like that track!!!
That would have been a great meeting point for us at vir or even sandyhook speedway.(if they held weekend races at the hook)
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vyjCz8q9CUI good times good times!
