I took the whole housing off mine cause it sticks out so far on my scooter. Had to taper the back side of the hole on the round starter pawl to get it far enough on the crank to put the pull start cover on.

o wow that looks better but i cant do that because if i do,i wont be able to pull start the bike and nice pipe

You only need to mod the paw to fit the taper off the crankshaft, and I used blue thread sealer. I still have all the electric stuff, all brand new but it just adds weight and a battery and so on, and it slows you down.
