Hello everyone,
the names kyle. 24, married.. blah blah blah. Not new to this at all ive had many go peds and go quads. Only thing is ive never really tuned out a two stroke. that i will admit i am a total noobie too. My spelling and grammer is not the best as well (thats what years of texting gets you) anyways i joined the fourm because i recently got a cag 50cc pocketbike and was looking into doing a mild port job and wanted someone to point me into the right direction. i tried to search and i may be an idot but i saw nothing. and seeing that i cannot post in any other sections this is the place ill ask my question for now.
Thanks.![]()
Thanks for the info CAM2 the mods there doing and talking about just seem way over my head and much more extensive than what i am going for. Maybe I'm wrong and its all basic stuff but I've been out of this hobby for almost 10 years hahaWelcome to the site.............Id start here...........

Thanks for the info EPR, Is that the stage 3 or 4 engine like they sell on ebay? it just looks a lot alike. i may be wrong but i was looking at one of the BBK engines with a FCC and it seemed like an easier fix for more power. Any opinions on them?Welcome aboard, There is alot you can do, with just a few tools and alot of elbow grease, lol. If you have alittle money it would be better to get a 2 pcs head and seperate cyld head, much easier to raise your compression and grind & raise and reshape the ports.
Boosted306 here has billet alum ported head kits for $95, and stock canted head 47cc or 49cc heads for $65.
My avatar bike is a Lucky 7 Cag frame and a $74 head/cyld kit from ebay w/ FC racing crank and 5 port cylinder and a 16mm Walbro WT-603 carb.
The member in the thread was only into the hobby a week or two before he dived in and took the plunge............It only seems hard til you actually do it.......those mods only double stock power output.........Ive built engines that quadruple and sextuple the power of a stock engine........Thanks for the info CAM2 the mods there doing and talking about just seem way over my head and much more extensive than what i am going for. Maybe I'm wrong and its all basic stuff but I've been out of this hobby for almost 10 years haha![]()
Youre gonna want Sam[boosted306 is his screenname]...EPR stated its gonna cost $95 plus what it costs for you to ship it to him,,,from what I understand Sam pays to send it back but I could be wrong.......Shove it in a flat rate $11 box and youll be golden..........So basically unless I know what I'm doing its best to send it out to someone who can do the work for me. Makes since and seems cost effective. So who would be the best person to contact including you guys to send my engine to get it built? I don't want a full race motor just aiming to run about 45-50 mph range with the proper gearing and have the same or better low end and mid power that would still be reliable. If this is even possible. And about what would I be looking at money wise? Sorry for all the questions I really apreciate all the help so far normally I get bashed on forums for no aparent reason so I'm really thankful.![]()
Yep youre in for about 35-40mph and thats damm good for a tiny cag....My Black Magic cag is wickedly modded, pumping 15.5:1 compression, spins a tad over 15k,,runs on 105 leaded,non-oxygenated VP racegas and touches the 48mph mark on 7/55 gearing.......When my brother gets back from his small vacation after 44 days of longlining at sea Im shooting for a topspeed GPS'd run and vid to smash the 47.2mph record..........Hes 55-60lbs lighter than me so Im hoping to see way over 50 closer to 60 with him on it and running 8/55 or 7/47 gearing.45 or 50 mph on a Cag, that's asking alot, lol. Stock Cags do about 27mph, you need a B1 or C1 water cooled copy Blata or Polini to go that fast. I have both. Sam's engines are not full race, just alot better than a stock engine and the price is right. Photo of C1 and a Polini copy engine, the real engine is made in Italy, and much more exspensive.
Oh i already PMed him so yes i would like that address.I have his hotmail address, when you are ready to talk to him. He only does these on the side, and he is busy all the time so he may or may not answer your PM from here.
