Has anyone tried this B&S engine?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried using this 34cc Briggs & Stratton 4-stroke engine on their pocketbike/miniquad.

I have a Cobra S4 that my 5 year old nephew uses and I was considering putting a 4-stroke motor on it to cut down on noise because I'm sure the neighbors don't appreciate the loud wine of the 2-stroke as he drives it around the yard all afternoon.

I'm thinking that the 34cc wont be as powerful, but it doesn't need to be since my nephew probably only weighs 50 pounds or so.

The website says that the 34cc Briggs will fit a Go-Ped, so I'm guessing that means it has enough power to propel a small person.

So has anyone tried putting one of these little weed-wacker engines on a bike/quad? I'm just wondering if it's doable and what kind of parts may be needed.
Thanks.

Those engines are like the hondas with a plastic camshaft that has a single lobe that pushes both valves and plastic pushrods....in a weedeater theres very little resistance compared to a loaded rideable and will not last very long...The small Robin Subaru engines are a lil better and will last longer.....

I had a 4 stroke small cultivator that I got for free because the old owner said that the shop he took it to said it was wasted....When I disassembled it I found the camshaft was massively wiped out and wasnt lifting the valves right....When I saw all the plastic I didnt even consider rebuilding it for my project use....I just scrapped it

Theres ways of making the quad alot quieter if power loss isnt a big problem..........
CAM2, thanks for the info. Guess i wont be bothering with that idea.
so what options are there for quieting the S4 down?

Theres many,,,you can go lowbuck and ******* or fab up something a lil more high tech.......

******* way....take a 2 liter soda bottle drill holes on the bottom and clamp it to the stinger end

Different way,,,Modding the stinger tip and welding on the end of the stinger with a whisper quiet muffler like on my mini-minibike.......
