Thank you! I have a question if anyone on the forum can help me. I have a folding Di Blasi trike, electric, and since I bought it, it has made a zzz zzz noise when pedalling with motor on. No noise if motor not on, or if I stop pedalling. Any clues as to what this might be? Can I oil the motor?! Thank you everyone

Well, I am decently knowledgeable in the electric bikes, unfortunately I dont know what motor is in that, I researched a little, I will continue research. I have never had any electric motor make a buzzing noise in any scenario. It is possible it is normal on that motor. Hopefully someone can chime in that has one and can further assist us. But in the meantime I will look around for a possible answer.

Thank you so much, it is kind of you to do this.
I took the bike today to a motorbike/bike shop… the technician reckoned the noise was in the motor, couldn’t be accessed or he was unwilling to try, and suggested like u that it might be the normal noise. I should really have taken it back as soon as it became apparent 4 years ago, but had hardly used it as it was stored in France. Is now residing in Spain😬🙄. I fear unless someone has any other ideas that I might end up just plugging my ears! ?

Do you have the Pedelic version, or the twist grip version? If it's the pedelic version, that's your motor assisting you while you're pedaling, is quite possibly normal. Since it's something high torque, try having your chain replaced, and derailleur adjusted. That may help with the noise, but no real guarantee.

Thank you, Falcon, sorry for late reply. Will take the bike to another bike shop here in Spain n mention ur suggestions… I fear Di Blasi might be a bit of a specialist thing! I have the pedelec version btw. Best wishes, Barbara
