Well, I'm obviously new here as you can see by the registration date. Also new to the whole pocket bike thing but figured I'd take it up as a hobby and see if I can sell the things while I'm at it. Nothing better than having a hobby also be your job.

So I'm trying to find a supplier of pocket bikes, I currently sell computer/electronic surplus but the supply of used equipment is pretty unpredictable (I buy the stuff at auction) so I'm looking for new products to sell and pocket bikes seem like a good enough hobby. If I can get the things at the right price I'm sure it would work; not going to make me a millionaire but I prefer a fun job over money anyway.

I'd like to find a supplier in the Los Angeles, CA area (or say 100 mile radius, something like San Diego would work too). I was checking about getting the bikes from China but since I don't really want a full 40 foot container at this point the shipping charges outweigh the price of the bike. I don't mind buying some to see if they sell, but a full container? I'm not too keen on that.

So yeah, not sure if anyone has any recommendations as far as this goes. It's been my understanding that in business people don't usually go "hey! I use so and so as my supplier, here's their info!" but maybe I'm just used to the tech industry and the massive amounts of competition.

Some of those china suppliers will sell in lots of 25/50/75 and 100pcs....Get the watercooled models in a 25 lot...Theyll sell like hotcakes if re-sold cheap enough and sold already running/riding...Other things that sell well are quality Bigborekits with full circle cranks,,pumper carb hp retrofit kits,,velocity stacks w/built-in chokes,,3" UNI airfilters,,aluminum pullstarters,,hp clutch housings w/3rd member bearing support and Jetpro exhaust pipes

Your only other recourse is to buy up used ones from craigslist,,fix em n flip em..The only thing that sux is the nit pickers and the tire kickers looking for super fine looking stuff and killer deals for 12 cents on the dollar no matter how much work was put into getting it running and riding again........Good Luck
Welcome aboard, bikes are getting harder to find, and the new ones are slow and non adjustable.
Well that's what I was afraid of, China being the only viable option for new bikes. I guess it's entirely possible to make custom ones; I know there's regulations on the engines, CARB compliance for California and such but I haven't heard anything like "oh it's illegal to make the bikes". Not sure I could make them cheap enough to sell for a decent price though.

Used could work, that's what I do right now with computer/electronics anyway. Some stuff gets sold as I recive it, other things get parted out or fixed. Though I guess that wouldn't really solve my supply problem as right now I sell the stuff faster than I can get it which is not a bad thing in itself but I like to stay busy.

Something to think about I guess, still got to buy a bike for myself though. There's a motorsport track nearby that does pocket bike races, seems like a load of fun.

I'm in Rowland Heights, pretty sure you drive by on the 60 FWY when you go to Ontario.

I've been checking out Adams MotorSports Park as a place to go race, they seem to have a decent setup.
