Hoping someone might be able to identify what I've got. Hoping I got a good deal off ebay. I've managed to snag a blata quadard and the plan is to fit the polini engine. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's a Polini 6.2 ac engine. It has a 3 port cylinder with 40cc and a junior head=lower compression rate than the normal head. Between 5-6hp depending on crankshaft, exhaust and carb.
Carb is a Dell'Orto sha, the size is stamped on the left side 14mm,15mm or 16mm
Exhaust looks like a standard Polini 6.2 pipe.

It's the new version of the crankcase with the 3 iron ignition.
With the right cylinder and carb is it good for ~14hp

Awesome information mate, thank you.
Any idea on the clutch, has BZM on the arms and I've seen their name before but don't know much about them. Coming from cats those 2shoe rip off clutches are to be avoided so hoping the originals are ok?
I had a blata elite 4.2 back in the day will this be similar in power?
Would i need a new head and piston/ring etc. Polini parts are so expensive I think I may keep it as is. I got the whole set up engine exhaust and clutch for £210 delivered. Think I did alright. Itll be plenty fast enough for the quad. Thanks again.

Oh and carb is a 14. Would a larger carb be a worth while mod on its own? Cheers

Dell'Orto PHBG 18mm is a very good size at this engines.
Clutch is a BZM 2 shoe, good clutch.
Any other clutch shoes would also fit CS, Polini or GRC.
The 6.2 have about 50% more power than a 4.2.
210pound is a good price.

Chrisi,
Thanks so much for the replies man, very useful information. Sounds like I did OK then. Think I may keep my eyes peeled for a 16mm carb to give it a bit more go. But 5-6hp in that quadard would be more than enough. Just got to figure out a way of mounting the engine now. I'll post some pics up once its done. Thanks again.
