Hey so what I have isn't exactly a pocket bike but I've searched all over the web and found this site on daves motors. This seems like the right place to start.

This is what I have

They're an unfortunate Chinese rip off of an awesome product that was made/designed in Australia in the early 2000's (and subsequently put out of business by the above mentioned)

At any rate the current motor is a piece of $%&@ and I'd like to do some upgrades.

Anyone down to help?

the wheelman g-wheel...Is it 33cc or 43cc.....If its 33 then you need to upgrade to a 49cc...the 33cc has a lil potential but theres no better upgrade than changing the displacement way larger........

It's "49cc" according to the label on the engine but I'd be its putting out .5-1 hp tops. This stupid 10% ethanol gas crap in maryland is not helping either.

I'm pretty darn mechanically and electrically inclined but I need some help in case its no a direct bolt on. This is the website that references putting on the GP460 motor on it.

have you tried changing the sparkplug and tuning it or even giving it a compression test..youd be surprised to hear alot never heard that gas n oil mix is what it means and runs just straight gas through them or mixes motor oil with the gas...LOL.....if its 49cc Im sure youre gonna have to remove the slack from the throttle cable and tune it in......There are plenty of DIY mods to make it twice its current power if the compression is up to par.

I changed the spark plug once, but just based on the no name on the engine and the over all lack luster quality of the rest of it that I had to fix I think it would be better and more fun (higher speed) to replace the engine anyway. I'd like higher HP and especially torque, its a dog on hills.

Dont expect any better of quality out of that new hp engine....I come to find out ya have to take it all apart and blueprint it for it to perform right...........

My trophy cag started out as 43cc.Topspeed was 22mph on 6/68 gearing..I put a stock modded 49cc engine in it I juiced up with increased compression,,race porting in both the botomend aswell as add 3 extra boost ports to the topend, windowed the piston with 6 holes, polished key components,,lightened the flywheel,,added a rocket key,,lightened and modded the clutch,,did the hp sparkwire mod,,added a hp pumper carb retrofit kit,,modded the reedstopper and reedplate,,modded the exhaust to a dual chamber rev design and my cag has a really nice powewrful takeoff and revs are way higher than stock with a topspeed on GPS of 37mph.............The cost of all the work and mods,,,$87 dollars and a few hours labor
