ive had this sprocket on the bike since i got it and the chain recently snapped off. i got a new one but im hesitant to put in on incase it snaps because of my sprocket.

Is it good to use?

if the teeth arent warn down sure.... If your chain snapped off you might want to take a little bit of tension out of it with the chain tensioners...

looks pretty chewed up... you can try it, I would recommend you change it for a fresh one though.

its still square ends. doesn't that mean its still good? when it gets sharp its bad yeh?

this is a 25h chain sprocket?
If it is it should be much pointier.

ive got a 36 tooth sprocket. would a 37 tooth or be ok because i can't find another 36 tooth?

37 would work. Have you figured out what kind of chain you have on it? then you could look on ebay for a good deal on a sprocket..

I might have a 36 at the house. Ill check and give you the spec on the bolt size when i get home. Ill post afew pictures of it.

That sprocket is mad bent,,,pound it flat with ahammer..Itll be fine after that...The teeth look good.............The chainset is #420

Good eye cam2. I though the rear wheel was off allignment.


UPDATE - well the rear pitbike sprocket i have is a 43 tooth #420 chain.

im not to sure what the old chain was but i took it to a motorbike store and they gave me a "DID 420D" chain. they say its the same and will fit a 36 tooth sprocket.

thanks cam ill be straightening my sprocket asap.


but when i have to change my sprocket there is nowhere i able to buy the same sprocket. ive done many hours of research for my sprocket. if i have to could i buy a sprocket with different teeth number. any other sprockets to fit my chain and put straight on my bike no worries?
