Welcome glad u like the site
Welcome aboard Donnie! I'm sure you'll find much useful info around these forums. Lots of older guys around here looking to ease their racing career into retirement haha :thumbsup:.

Anyways, GL with your hunt for a bike, Craigs list ebay and the vendor forums on here are a good place to start.

Cheers!!
What kind of bike are you looking for?? There are pocket bikes, mid-bikes and bigger yet super pocket bikes.
I am having trouble posting in other threads is it because Im still too new here and I have to be okay through an admini ? I have question on a mini chopper I have and can't post anywhere.
U have to make like 10 posts on this thread first
Before u can post anywhere else*
Ok... Im sure this is the wrong place to post this but until I get my post numbers up I'm stuck. I have a mini chopper I need help in telling what it is and I have a problem with the trans on it. The engine looks just like a honda 50 I mean exactly like it . On the side case it sayes its a "Loncin". I am having trouble chasing down a manuel for this thing. One of my questions is.... is this a honda spin off and can I open up the case on the kick start side and get to the trans without seperating the center cases? I wished I could post pics to show it... but the shifter linkage runs real close to the ground and I think it hit something and broke or bent a fork or something. It still run and moves and all its just stuck in like third or fouth gear. Any Idea's...?
Maybe u have to lube something up , post pics of the bike

Get yourseld a manual for a honda ATC50-110cc and CT50-110cc
..Theyll be able to help you in yourt quest...my guess on your problem is either a bad shift fork ,, bad shift star or bad shift assembly.....Good Luck

i would say you most likely have a loose shift star on the clutch side.... seeing as you have moto experience i would assume you have the tools to pull a clutch, which makes cranking down the shift star way easier.....LOL

pull the clutch side case off, (just the outer, not the inner half that holds the crank and stuff) pull the clutch and primary gear, and its top left...probably loose...mine was on my x18 super pocket... wanted to hang in 3 and 4 because the star wouldnt let the drum recenter after the shift....
oh, and from what i saw tonight replacing my clutch, i would say you would need to crack the inner cases open to get to the trans....
I sure do not want to split my cases. Might get to that star screw with a short philips tip and a small cresent wrench to turn it, not much space there. I have a bench grinder and I mod tools all the time.

you dont need to split the cases to pull the clutch... you just need the tool...which for me ended up being a few vice grips... two big ones, and one needle nose one... needle nose on the nut, big one to turn needle nose, and other big one to hold the rest of the clutch from moving... then pull the circlip off the main gear, and slide it off...

this is what it looks like with the clutch off,

then just pull that clip, and you can get at it fine...LOL
I loved the needle nose pliers trick, I have all kinds with long noses, don't want a clutch tool I hardly use. Try to get some info on my 125cc ATV auto trans w/ forward and reverse. Slips to much at the start trying to go up steeper hills, got to keep it wound up like a 2 stroke, lol.
Thanks for all the replies guy's....I'm gonna go ahead and open it up as planned. I'm hoping it just something simple like the star. I really didn't wanna split the cases. If I have to I have to...then I think about what else i could do while its all opend up.....but its still a fiddy...LOL

I like that high top piston, if you have the $120 + S/H. Would make alot more power, maybe a $60 cam too. They recommend a bigger carb also.
